Skara Brae
Skara Brae Awaits
Newly elected Governor Tina started off her term with a CHOP! Skara Brae hosted an event called "Skara Brae Awaits" which was a lumberjacking contest open to the public. All lumber chopped will go towards building the Skara Brae Navy. There was a great turn out with many strong axeman and women. There was also a a great turnout of alcohol named "Ottersrun XMAS Red" which was quite popular.
After the opening reception in which there was A LOT of drinking, Governor Elect Tina laid out the rules for the contest. She then sent the drunken bunch into the woods to chop down lumber and keep the healers busy with self inflicted axe wounds from over-indulgence of the fine drinks.
The contestants then wobbled their way back into town to donate their choppings and have them counted. Krum took first place and 100k gold, Woodchuck Chuck took second place and a 75k gold check, while third place was won by Nomad who received a 50k check.
While the contest itself was fun and enjoyed by all, I think a close second was the alcohol consumption which seemed to be a warm up for New Years Eve. A good time was had by all and all have a good hangover to look forward to tomorrow!
