What was your goal? Most Pvpers have left... the rest of us adapted. Many have said for ages Siege is a PvP shard. Many of us disagreed with that. The PvPers (for the most part) killed indiscriminately.

Kelmo - Your response sounds as if you are somehow proud [if not rather smug] about adapting to a Siege with no danger. To that, I say that there is not much, if anything, left to adapt to.

I am sorry that EA/Bioware ignores our play style. Every non PvPer here plays Siege for a reason. We know at any moment we might be a PvPer. Escape and evasion is a valid tactic for us.
Any time we escape with our lives and our 'goods' is a win. At least it is for me. We risk them everytime we go out... as it should be.

I wish it were that simple, Sprago. They don't want to farm. They want to fight and the fights on Siege are so few and far between that there isn't any interest in coming back for that. If Siege somehow manages to make a comeback, we'll be back in a snap. Its where we want to play, but no one is holding their breath for that to happen.

Mostly on one of the busier freeshards that I can't mention, but a few hop on Atlantic some, too. Its probably who you think.

Meh !! Some of us are NOT adapting anywhere !
I mean when I have to practically [*hire* Righty]
to 'KILL ME HERE' just to feel like Siege is alive for me, that is kinda sad ! My chrs. here ALL die easily ! But, I've always looked at being killed here, as some sort of goofy *social encounter* and when no one is left any more, to KILL any of us, it is like our social structure is gone !
Granted those that pvp have to have people to PVP with; so just knockin off my or anyone else's crafters is barely exciting or fun for them, when they really are lookin for fights [with hopefully several others whom DO pvp] to fight with, to win or loose upon.
And without PVPers here though, heck even crafters potions, or bandages etc. are all gonna sit on vendors going basically unsold and going stale on us ! !
We all [needed one another] to make a *social structure* for an active thriving shard. With any huge chunk of our population missing in action, I log here daily only to see the same few 5 people daily, and that is about it !
I know lots of em are on ATL and I have probably seen more names that came from Chesapeake TO Siege back ON Chesapeake lately too. I knew their names from way back when over there... one by one abandoning our existing chrs there to come to Siege some yrs ago. So they came here. I came here, but now they're all tryin to find *people* in UO again; either back there on Chessie, or ATL or wherever they CAN FIND more people, than just a few, in this game to interact with daily somewhere.
But as far as 'adapting', heck even my chrs. over have there, been ignored since 2004 cuz I was HERE all this time. All my chrs. there, are such dire need of being updated to UO skilled today, be they my warriors or mages or crafter chrs. on Chesapeake.
And my chrs. here, seem to have nothing to DO here, anymore.
So daily, I come back HERE and go back THERE, I come back HERE and go back THERE...till I feel like I am stuck in some peculiar misfits' revolving UO doorway 'daily', unhappy anywhere, cuz where I want to be alive again, is not ! IE Siege !
Obviously I am not a slap happy camper THERE nor HERE lately, till either HERE picks up again as it was...full of people of all sorts of UO interests making a community alive again...or my chrs. THERE can be happy being [just back there again]...which does not seem to be happening either for me,
cuz too much SIEGE is in my blood.
Crafters too need PEOPLE to buy their stuff or they got nothing TO DO HERE either.
Till we either get some Dev. team attention, or till everyone returns and or we get more people than even whom all we have had to play here on Siege, we are sorta stuck in a quaqmire of Siege, as playin in some, empty nest syndrome !
And while I may think of myself as a comically entertaining old foggie, it really is difficult if not boring, to only find myself, in a massively multiplayer game called Ultima Online, to entertain my own self !

You Vs Me Wrong Roof. You bring your mystic or necro ill play a straight mage. My conditions. No Pets. No mounts. 10 Ea Pot. 5 apples. No Summons. No Precasts (includes healstone and spell trigger). No Leaving the roofed area.

Actually, it's not very long at all since the last time I got pk'd, and my boat scuttled into the bargain. I don't know what will happen to Siege, or UO as a whole.
What's killing us most is the economic climate. Some people can no longer afford to play. EA cut the development team to the bone, so they don't have time to both develop and communicate. Which isn't good.
I keep playing, I'm on Siege daily but not easily found except through general chat.

I do realize how Sieger's feel, though. It is difficult to watch people bash Siege because they no longer play here. It feels like a slap in the face to watch former Siege players try and pull current players away from Siege. As hard as I try to avoid doing that, I get sucked into it on occasion, as I did in this thread. I'll have to do better on that. If there are people who are still happy with the game play on Siege, they deserve to play their game and enjoy their Stratics forum without being accosted by disgruntled former players like myself, who wish they could turn back time a little and enjoy the fun, too.
