Hello Fellow Siege Fans,

Shadow Light [S L] is pleased to announce a Championship PVP-style Tournament event, kicking off on 2/22/2015:

• Draw Party & Free For All: Tournament Contestants (see below) will roll/receive their tournament slot position [1-16] to determine the bracket. Afterwards, the free for all attempts to pit 10 gladiators in the arena at one time in a last person standing style event. Depending on the players that show up, anything is possible, alliances may be formed and quickly broken, targets may be singled out. It is all part of the fun. What will your strategy to survive be?

  • Location: LOSTLAND ARENA - Teleporter Access From The SL Vendor House in NEW MAGINCIA
  • Use the frostwood bulletin board against the back wall of the SL New Magincia Vendor House [NW Side of Town]. If more than 10 sign up, you will be added to the waitlist. If the wait list reaches more than 5 and we don't have any no-shows, two rounds will be held
    • Last Man Standing for each Round: Receives a Reward from the Gift Pool

  • CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT [Begins 3/1/2015]: Use the bloodwood bulletin board against the backwall of the SL New Magincia Vendor House [NW Side of Town]. Each round should be completed bi-weekly, we will try our best to accommodate all schedules.
    • First-Round/Entry Prize (Sweet 16): All participants will roll for a: Prize Pool Selection
    • Second-Round Prize (Elite Eight): All elite eight participants will roll for a: Corrupted Crystal Portal
    • Third-Round Prize (Final Four - Semi Finals): All final four participants will roll for a: Legacy Token
    • Final-Round Prize Prize (Finals): Runner-up: 1 Month Game Time Code/ Winner: 3 Month Game Time Code + Statue Engraved and Displayed at the house.

This sounds AWESOME! As Siege's official worst PVPer, even I'm interested. Will do my best to come watch if possible. Are pets allowed? In the event I mean?

So the fights have to be fought when? Will it be a one evening event (after the daw party) or will it be a monthlong event where the contestants have to find a time when both are on?

Sorry no pets allowed in these. Here are the default settings to be used for the matches:

We are giving each round 2 weeks to complete, so contestants (individual matches) can hopefully arrange at least one mutual time to fight in a 2-week period. They don't all need to take place at the same time, but we would like to post times so people can watch and make it possible for us to record.

The draw party is just a kick-off, you don't have to make the party to be in the tournament and we will just proxy roll for you to determine your starting slot in the tournament.

No pets huh? You fear my fighting llamas? I'll have to sit this one out then until Siege's pvp scene ascends to my level.



In your defense, these llamas can spit farther than anything I've seen.

I'll still try to make the shindig Sunday to provide moral support to any guild members / allied guilds who enter. Though based on what I've seen my time will be better spent consoling the widows of their enemies....

I like that kind of pvp. Guildmate kills you, I step to offer your spouse a comforting shoulder.

is this gonna be a set template tourney? or are people going to be able to change there template after say round 1 or customize there template towards there opponent?

Hey Bo - no set template for the tournament as it would be too difficult to police with skill jewelry and the myuo site not being updated frequently enough. I know it would be obvious if someone switched from mage to dexxer, but not so obvious for subtle changes so I'd rather just not try and police it. I would urge folks to just come as the template they feel they play best and if you are clever enough to "know" what temp your opponent would play, then feel free to try and use that against them with your own template. Keep in mind, your opponent may also change templates and with only 2 weeks to revamp your stats, it may not be worth it if you were to make a major overhaul between matches.

Tjalle - yes the signup is on the bulletin board. My purpose for that is to allow people who don't use stratics to sign up as well as let everyone know who has entered thus far.

Only 3 Sign-ups for the Free For All and 4 for the actual tournament thus far...

The free for all is really a lot of fun and I think I can honestly say everyone who has come in the past has really enjoyed it. Can we get to the elusive 10? Even if you are just a crafter, a little clever magery, maybe some field spells, toss a few explosion pots, you can make a difference...

Also, the cave and arena are guard zone areas so your chances of losing anything are very, very slim; with possible small exceptions of VvV/at war guilds and thieves. But this is Siege so nothing you shouldn't be used to by now.

P.S. We also have some great prizes, and you don't have to win to have your chance at them. Signing up is all this is required.
