Hey didn't we used to have a show and tell forum, or something meant for posting pictures etc? I can't remember what it was called. But now I can't find it... If indeed it has been removed, what's the best forum for posting fan art?

Well, like I said - "fan art". By this I mean UO related drawings, pictures etc.
And didn't know about the RL pic thread, want to see! Do you remember what forum it was in?

RL picture threads are usually in shard forums.
I think I vaguely remember a pictures forum. I don't think it was re-created when we went onto vbulletin.

Yes I did Petra. So I submit more stuff by addiing replies to my own page or...? Do you know why the old pics forum was removed? It was nice because it had eeeeeverything! Fan art, screenshots, RL pics, marketing shots that had just been released etc etc.
Crap, so I posted a reply and the links and images are broken... I guess the same tags don't work as in the forums? Can't edit it either...

Everyone has an album, picture section in their user cp. I put a lot of my pictures there of gaming pics ect. Might consider hosting it there for now.
Also, the official UO Facebook page has a fan art section you can submit to with some amazing and talented artists like yourself! https://www.facebook.com/UltimaOnline

Ah thanks for the info AirmidCecht, I had no idea we had a pics section in our own control panel. Cool.
The artwork I want to show though is not really my work, it's the artwork of the original UO artists, merely scaled up and polished:
So I would not feel comfortable submitting this sort of thing in the Facebook fan art gallery, at least without explaining in detail what the idea is for those who don't know the hi-res challenge history. That sort of thing is much better suited to the forums. (just not into the volatile action of U-hall)
I think my best bet is to just post this stuff on my own website then. Over the next weeks I will be making hi-res versions of some of the cutest UO critters, and I don't feel comfortable posting these on U-hall because they will start up the whole artwork debate again and I think we're all very tired of that and it's quite pointless because it's never going to happen.
What these hi-res images are to me, are merely a celebration of the original artwork and a chance to "zoom in" to see what they look like now that UO is so tiny on all our monitors.
The artwork I want to show though is not really my work, it's the artwork of the original UO artists, merely scaled up and polished:

The old forum wasn't removed, but when the UBB boards crashed a lot of stuff was lost. I can't tell you much about it, I was only a Europa mod then, and not involved in policy decisions. All I know is the forum wasn't replaced by a new on one these vbulletin boards.

And what a shame about the old boards. I wonder if all those old pictures can be dug up on Wayback machine... Never posted much there, but I'm sure a lot of the people here miss seeing those.
