Lets try this way and do a poll, on the matter.

Please do take note that this is only regarding Mini-House deeds, not any of the other items which are listed at 50 points

I think they should be at least 5k in points.
As they are sometimes hard to come by.

50 points is more than generous enough for them.

I am not flaming you but, just out of curiosity, why do you say that?

50 points is the minimum turn in value. If 50 point is “more than generous” do you feel that mini-house deeds should actually be worse less than 50 points?

Mini-house deeds were handed out on a very limited basis. Other items, that were given out literally by the handfuls, have the same 50 point turn in value. If you feel that 50 points is “more than generous” for a mini-house deed how do you feel about 50 points for, say, Halloween candy?

Certainly these and other items that were given on a one per character bases and are fairly old should be worth more than the handful of candy canes and valentines cards.

I think 1,000 points is excessive. 50 points may be a little low, but I know a lot of people who have too many of these. I xsharded traded for a bunch of these, and I still have some on random other shards. I don't see people turning in the really cool ones, but the rest are so common they are nearly impossible to sell on a vendor.

At least make them worth as much as recipes and talismans. I mean, come on, while I'm turning in bows to get a chance for fletcher's kits I'm getting talismans and recipes like crazy and both are worth more than an item you had to buy AoS in the first week or so to get.

I say that because I remember how many were given out back at AoS. The tens of thousands of characters logging in to get their free gifts. Every character got one. While I can see that the rare ones should be worth more, fact is all the rest really shouldn't.

And I already said in another thread that the candy is way too highly valued. 10 or even 5 points would be more accurate for them.

Honestly, the point spectrum for the holiday gifts is totally screwed up anyway.

not only won't i turn them in at 50 points, or 500, but not turning them in will simply make the ones remaining in circulation more valuable; in my case, i really like them.

mine are not for sale at any price.

Well, the house deeds were offered at one time and were limited to one-per-character. Although there were a lot of them handed out, that would seem to make them much less common than the run-of-the-mill 50 point item.

I pretty much agree with the statement that the whole point spread is a bit off.

I guess I would not mind that so much if it were easier to convert the item into usable points. I wanted one of the horse barding decorations and turned in 40 treasure maps at 500 points each to get the points. That was far too much clicking and dragging for my tastes. The thought of having to turn in 400 lower level items to get that same reward was not appealing.

I have a lot of stuff that I could, and would, turn in if the process were easier. As the process stands, there is simply too much work involved to turn in massive numbers of lower level items (IMHO). If they did have a goal of reducing the item count they should have made the turn in process very easy and greatly extended the list of stuff that they would take.

Is it really that much work? I've turned in several thousand items myself, without a single complaint. It's not like its actual manual labor or anything, you're just moving a dang mouse.

Lets be honest !!!!!! players need to use some ''common sense'' on which items they do turn in..

Take this list for 1k points=
Giant Mushrooms
Dreadhorn Head (pristine and mangled)
Dreadhorn horn
Grizzled Tombstones
Collection of skulls
Glob of the Grizzle
Monstrous Grizzle Maggots
Shimmering Crystals
Shimmering Effusion Statuette
Corporeal Brume Statuette
Sweat of Paroxysmus
String of Parts
Paroxysmus’ Dinner
Paroxysmus’ Corroded Stein
Travesty’s Collection of Shells
Travesty’s Fine Teakwood Tray
Tragic Remains of Travesty
Travesty’s Sushi Preparations
Special Hair Dye
Corroded Hatchet
Eternally Corrupt Tree

PRETTY OBVIOUS to me which items ive been buying up for 100-500g and are worth turning in for 1k points ( ie the corrupted trees etc) and some other items that are worth a lot more gold like the corroded hatchet ...that noone in the right mind will turn in for 1k points

Yes it is when you have other things going on in RL, your playtime is limited and if you have carpal tunnel like I do.

It seemed like there is a lot of unnecessary dragging and clicking to me. You have to individually drop each item on the collector guy and then go and target the turn-in dot and the ticket. And that is over and above the work you did loading up your character to haul the stuff off to the collector in the first place. I just don’t like all that repetitive and unnecessary clicking and dragging.

If there was a specific design goal of reducing item count the system should have been much simpler to encourage high turn in rates. I feel that a better system would be to drop a bag of stuff on the collector guy to accumulate turn in points to that character. Then you could access a reward gump to claim whatever you had points for.

Even the reward selection gump is broken in that it does not show you exactly what you are selecting unless you have tool tips activated. In my opinion the whole thing was poorly done.

Of all the players who have a lot of mini house deeds, "i have a full set+", how often do you ever see them displayed in someones house? What good is something just sitting in a chest? Really, what?

That is funny.

Seriously though some were not common and these really should have been based on rarity.

There are a lot of other items I disagree with on the list also. Plenty of the items are not worth turning in for the paltry amount of points you will get for them.

Oh yeah I said yes they should.

I am crying now though because I tossed like 50 of these things a year ago thinking they would be worthless. Guess I wasn't all wrong though. Still the points would have been nice even if it was only a few.

i can't believe 37 people voted yes.... 50 points is more than enough, do u know how many times i've thrown 40 minis in a bag and it sold for 5k in an auction, the crappy ones are worthless, don't give in the good ones, simple as that

I agree it is a lot of clicking...and I can only do so much myself. You can cut down on some of it by setting up a UOAssist macro to target the turn in dot and the ticket. It doesn't distinguish between the point values of the tickets and will target them all one at a time.

Hehe, will trade ya 1000 points for each. :thumbup1:

1000 points is worth less to me than having the whole set.

I ended up with bags full of tickets from tmaps and 'recovered from a shipwreck' items.

Well besides 1 of each Classic house Design, there were two Contest winning designs mini Houses which are now availible as 1st year vet rewards and don't forget the Gingerbread House.

My sister only needs a Thatched roof Cottage to complete her set and FYI her set is on display at our Keep just north of Wrong on Legends...well except for Castle mini its on the third floor of her house just west of Umbra. :)

For many years I had them on display..... But after upgrading house to house to house to house..... they are now in a chest but now that I finally have my full set again.... the dreams of putting them all up on display once more are not far away...... I'm sure I will..... as I will also once again break out my huge collection of 100% weapons and put them back out..... I have been very close to getting a full set of those for a long while.... ...... And at X-mas.... I'm sure I'll find somewhere to display my full set of reindeer.....

I also used to have the full compliment of snow globes on display....... Then I had them in a bag in my house when I was redecoing once and someone stole them..... But after many years I recollected them all.... but haven't displayed them.... though I am sure one day I will again....

I like to redo things from time to time so I don't always have my collections on display all the time..... Keeps things from getting old....

I'm a pack rat what can I say.... and NO I won't be selling them or turning them in for any reason....

You can turn the tickets themselves in by setting up a UOA macro. It's a hell of a lot easier than targeting the blue dot and every ticket.

just a thought, but on the same level of " do you know what I've thrown out?"

ahh 1st thing that comes to mind is the old "regular" crystal balls that used to spawn .. sort of like the old brown furs that used to spawn :( and tons of those were thrown out .. then

NOT that the points will be changed anyway .. no .. the people that were unable to get any of the items they wanted etc will just do without - as the inflation rate in UO goes higher and higher - as it stands currently you see people see " oo.. thats not worth much ..only 500k or so .."

so the ones that don't have much can just go visit the house owners who end up having 10 or so if each item
