Short factory runs

I printed up the lists from the toontown players guide, is it different from that one? How many merits do you get per run anyway? Thanks again!!
Go to the side elevator (for those who don't know where it's at, when you are coming out of the tunnel and have the front elevator to your right, you turn left, run to the end, turn right, run and you'll see it on the right).

Once inside, you step on the button, go through the doors, battle the cogs there. Step on button, go through door, up the ramp and into the pipe room. Defeat both sets in there, out other door onto catwalks. Go left, up steps, then right into warehouse. Defeat cogs on raised platform, step on buttons (unlocks door, kills goons). Go through center door, then up to silos to finish up.

Number of merits per room...
56 Stomper room (first room from side elevator)
56 Pipe room (each, for a total of 112)
80 Warehouse
80 East/West Silos (80 each, total of 160)
112 Center Silo
--------------------------
520 total merits

These are based on dancing during an invasion.

After the pipe room, if you go to the right (away from the steps) to the boiler room before going to the warehouse, you'll pick up another 64 merits (for a total of 584 merits).

Here are some easy runs to remember:

464 merits - side elevator, only ONE set in the pipe room, warehouse and silos.
520 merits - side elevator, BOTH sets in the pipe room, warehouse and silos.
584 merits - side elevator, both sets in pipe room, boiler room, warehouse and silos.

Sometimes it takes a few minutes to know how many of each you need to do to get all your merits, but it's well worth it. For example, 1100 merits (HW 10,17,22,32 and 42), you would do a 520 and a 584 (for a total of 1104 merits). For 5500 merits, you would do the exact same thing for 1100, just do 5 of each run.

I've been able to solo the factory in about 10 minutes, with 2 runs in 25 minutes (that includes time to get more gags). A friend and a friend of theirs did a near full run in about 20 minutes to get 720 merits. My 2 runs got me 41.6 merits per minute, while they got 36 merits per minute.

Keep in mind that if there had been someone with me, then we could have done 2 runs in about 20 to 22 minutes, possibly even faster. Either way, doing short runs is well worth the effort.

These are the same runs that I show to my friends and the same runs that I went on to work and max my sell suit. The only times when I've gone on different runs is either when I had to, or I was just bored and went with others and followed them. I have friends that I've shown it to and they swear by it, saying that it's the all they will do now because it's not only easier, but you spend way less time in the factory, so it's more tolerable. :)

The one problem w/ the notion that soloing short ones is faster is that SOME of us don't have sound to solo with! :wall: JK! lol! Still tho. Lots of cogs=lots of merits. No matter what you have to do, merits will take you forever!

if you do every room you get like 776 merits or so
It's 776 if you start dancing during an invasion and you got ALL the cogs in the factory. However, the average time for that (unless you move REALLY fast) is about 30 minutes. Even at 25 minutes, you can do 2 short runs and get 1040 merits.

i gotta go w the wolfman! since he introduced me to the 520/584 that is all i pretty much do.* i adjust it for friends by adding a room here or there depending on how many merits they need. it has worked out great. altho i am not as fast as wolfie, we have entered a fact at the beginning of an invasion done the 520 and ended it before the invasion ends. sorry bumble..we do sound since if it doesn't miss, it is the fastest but what's great is when u have enough sound to killm, and one toon pulls a magnet. if it misses it's ok, since sound then almost always hits.susan

LOL i just don't have sound. I never said i dislike it. I wish i had it so bad it makes me sick, but it's a lot more impressive being a hollywood without sound than with it.

:popcorn:Thanks for the AWESOME info! It will make it easier for me to max now. I have avoided this suit cause it seems to take forever and it is soooo boring! I have done a couiple of the very short runs solo, maybe I will try some more. Thanks again, I am going to print this and put it in my little TT folder.:thumbup1:

Susan, I saw that you have a "catalogue toon", what exactly is that? I have never heard of that before. Thanks

OOOOOHHHH, I have a couple of those too. Thanks!

How can I get a toon in test? I have a free one, but cant do much. Can I make one of my toons from this account a test toon?

You have to apply to be in Test. Then you wait til you're accepted. I believe now you have to wait til there's a 'we're accepting applications on test' message on the front page.

I love that break down of the merits :)

I've been doing a lot of solos on my kitty lately and have a full run down to 20 minutes (not counting the time it takes to wait for an invasion if there isn't one in effect at the end).

A full run? Shame on you, I taught you better than that.

10mins @ 520 merits * 2 (20 mins) = 1040 merits.
20mins @ 776 merits * 1 (20 mins) = 776 merits.

Come on, do the shorts.

By the way, for anyone interested in knowing this, the way to figure out how much each group is worth is rather simple. Add up the cog levels (and add 1 for each odd level cog), then multiply by 2 (without invasion) and 4 (with invasion). In the Pipe room for example, you have levels 4, 4 and 5. That's 13, add 1 (for the 5), that's 14. Multiply by 4 and you get 56 merits. The foreman (9, 6, 6, 6) is 27 (+1 = 28) * 4 = 112.

When I pull out Shadow again, I will do this type of runs in the factory but now that I am working my uber I can't go in the side door.:sad3::sad2:
