Shame Loot Question.

Been away for a year so this may be a dumb question. Today I got a bracelet with 150 luck and no other properties on it. When I opened the imbuing menu to see if I could add more luck to it it actually said it would drop it to 100 luck. Is that what would really happen?

I figure it might be a valuable piece to add some other properties to it. Especially since it isn't cursed or anything.

The new Shame loot has intensities that are above what can be imbued. Luck can be imbued to 100 and would carry 100 of 500 Item weight. The 150 luck Shame piece already at 150 can be imbued (preferably with other mods) but the 150 luck would use up 150 weight of the 500.

i saw on imbue menu an item that had option to 120 luck (may have been a weapon or armor)
is there certain cases when you can imbue luck to 120?

Archery and Throwing weapons go to 120luck imbuing.

Sounds like the OP confused imbuing and enhancing thinking they could add to the looted luck. Or imbued luck would get its own line with looted luck.

Even the Luckblade has higher then can be made.

Imbuing effectively replaces the value of the mod you change with the new value. It doesn't "add" to the existing value. So if the value is already above max, you can't add any more onto it, you can simply reset the value to the one you choose.

Thanks for that. I suppose there is still no way to remove the "cursed" mod from them either. I was also wondering what is more valuable on items from shame. Some PVPers told me that Splinter Weapon was really good. What else is worth keeping? I went around and looked on some vendors but it looked like people were just selling a little of everything.

What is most valuable depends on the build of character you want to run. 25% LRC on leather armor will be in demand (since you can max with 4 items leaving the rest open), some people will opt for the Regen and stat batches, some for spell casting and so on.

So far, there's no way to remove the curses aside from imbuing the negative Luck (which apparently is a very iffy situation based on intensity values), but we'll see what they come up with in future updates.

shield with hci.di.and or ssi are good shields with spell channel and high mana regen or other regens can go well for bard/mages also luck on any none cursed item if its high can be good depending on other mods
one handed weapons with spell channel and high regens can go well for mages/bards also

and of course any uber weapons or jewels that you see pics of in some of the other posts

I seriously hope someday the do NOT add an item or ability that removes "negative" attributes from items. These "negatives" are needed to keep the world from becoming flooded with godly items that never disappear.

My opinion:

-100 Luck: Who cares?

Brittle: Big whoop. The item will eventually disappear from low durability.

Cannot be Repaired: A better negative. The item should disappear within a fair amount of time.

Cursed: Biggest overestimated "negative" of all. People are scared to used a cursed item just because they have to actually go loot it from their own corpse should they die?
