Shame deleteing armor/items

Heard of it but havent experienced it till now.

I make a quick suit of armor. Leather, imbued LRC to it and put it on. (full 6 peices). I insure it and go to the bank to verify gold/get regs for shame. I go into shame 10 minutes later im sitting there doing nothing and suddenly my chestpiece just disappears. I check my resists... yea im missing a piece. Check the ground nothing, relog, nothing. Go back into my house and check where I had it, nothing.

Wow. How about you take some of our money and start alpha testing this poor patches and get a developer who can actually code. Other MMOs can do it, surprised UO cant after this long.

Lots of people have spent lots of hours in Shame, a small handful have been hit by this bug. To fix it, first you have to find out what's causing it.

- Was the chest piece a tailor made piece, or was it something you looted, then enhanced and imbued?
- Which specific monsters were you fighting before it disappeared?
- Did you switch armor parts while you where there with other looted items? (maybe to try them on, then switch back?)
- During your time there, did you die?
- Did you manually dress /equip yourself, or did you use a mannequin / UO Assist dress macro / used another method?
- GM leather armor once imbued has low durability, in it's 30's often, could it be it ran out of durability?

To squash a bug, it's often helpful if people provide as much info regarding their actions up unto the point where the bug occurred. Did you do anything else? Anything special up until the point where it did poof?

that stole a leather tunic off someones body, that would not be clever it would be an exploit. I dont mean dead body by the way, I mean how you steal an insured tunic of someone while it is equipped.

While players need to help out by reporting bugs I can't recall an item-delete bug similar to this one since I started playing in '99. It's a new QA low, especially since they supposedly fixed the re-roll bug only for this delete-bug to remain.

I haven't experienced any Shame bug so far and I haven't been able to replicate anything on Test. Hope things will improve.

Lost my bladed imbued elemental slayer. Perfectly fine then gone.

It hasn't repeated for me.

I suggest we all make screenshots of all our gear we use in Shame, so GMs might have an easier time tracing what happened, and possibly also are more willing to replace items lost this way?

All good first questions to ask, imo

I imbued a luck suit real quick for shame for one of my bards, put it on, insured it, went to shame, then suddenly got the "not enough reagents for that etc" and I noticed my ring was gone, nowhere to be found, I had to go home and make a new one.

The piece was tailor made. I only imbued 2 properties on it.
The monsters I was around/fighting/seen were blood elementals and sea serpents.
No I put the pieces on at home, and never touched them at all.
I never died.
I manually equip the items since they were brand new.
No. I was not hit and checked other armor durability. No peice had more then 1 point, most didnt have any durability loss. The armor was in use for no more then 10 mins before the piece went bye bye.

Thanks sherkborg. Can you remember other things you might have done while you were in there? Where you affected by any spells by the blood elementals or sea serpents, where you cursed, hit by a specific combo perhaps... anything?

Details could help us figuring this one out...

Nothing off the top of my head. I do know I was sitting there for about 2-3 mins while looking something on the internet up. So I was definitely not being engaged in any way when it did happen.

I discovered something a while back while fishing.

In the very North West corner of the Trammel map, floating over the water, there is a section of dock. It is some sort of graphics glitch. There is a perma-gate there, I assume placed by GMs.

The interesting thing about this "dock" is that there is often a "pile" of items resting on top of it--bringing up the handles for these items shows they are all stacked. The first items in the stack are whatever you are wearing at the time when you sail up to the dock. You can then close the handles one at a time until you are no longer seeing your own items...but the stack continues. You can then "examine" all the items in this pile, one at a time, endlessly. It appears that the items in this pile represent the items carried by OTHER PEOPLE currently logged into the game. You can tell this because you will "scroll" through first a Mage suit, then items a dexxer would wear, etc. The items are grouped like that, not just a random mix.

The first time I found this dock, I was on an old, small dragon ship and could not reach the dock to get on it. I wonder if someone has figured out how to get on this dock and somehow interact with the "items" that are for some weird reason appearing out there in the middle of the ocean, on a dock that shouldn't be there.

Upon finding this glitch, I remember saying to myself "Wow. There's an exploit waiting to happen." Maybe it has?

Thanks sherkborg. Tragic happening.
You weren't near the strength requirements of the item with a full backpack were you?
Do you remember doing anything in the paperdoll, I've had the mouse click on it's own dropping the item in my backpack
Really bizarre, sorry.

Just lost the hatchet I was using, insured plenty of durability left. Using the EC with the arm/disarm hot buttons.

you used to end up on that dock when you recalled during lag.
i remember that and a small island somewhere where you would end up with a gate on it for no reason.. for the longest time there was no gate and you would be stuck if you used a scroll and didnt have any more.

another place like this you mention is the tomb of kings.
in here not only do you see items you cant pick up, but animals as well.
