Training your Shadowmane

Since it is 2 slot, you will get 100% from a single Mob.
Horses seems squishy, I'm making the steps for easier training on the next levels.
You can go in any order.
You will be doing a lot of healing when training until the horse has stats.

If you want a horse that does magery, tame a current 2 slot Nightmare and build it.
Since you have spent time to get this pet, you should make it a pet that kills stuff more effectively.
This pet is very light on building points. Use them wisely

I would add a Special and a different magic. (not Poison)

This Guide is for an 1 special , 1 Magic pet.

Look at my end result. You may want to stop the Mana at 300ish to get closer to 500HP.

Points Allocation after First Round Of Training:

1. Set the resists the way you want them.
2. Set the Hit point regeneration to Max - 20
3. Set the Hit Points to 400.
4. Use the remaining points in Strength.
5. Put the remaining 1 or 2 points in Mana.

My changes look like this.

Points Allocation after Second Round Of Training:

1. Set the Strength to Max - 700
2. Set the Intelligence to 364 (the 180 dex allows this much with 700 str)
3. Set the Mana regeneration to 30 - Max
4. Set the stamina Regeneration to 10
5. Use the remaining points in Mana or hit points.

Mine looks like this now.

Points Allocation after Third Round Of Training: (Last Round)

1. Set Base Damage per second to Maximum!!!!! You must do this in the last round.

The base pet is finished. Now you would add your chosen special and Magic.

The most damaging Special is Armor Ignore. You can choose other things.

You can save 600 points for all 120 Scrolls.

2. Choose Armor Ignore.
3. Choose your Magic.

You now have 265 points to add to Hit points and Mana. Choose how you want to use those.

Here is my finished product:

outside of looking cool, these are sort of inferior to clydesdales by a good amount huh?

clydes have an insane amount of training points and are a blank slate so you can get chiv/ai and nothing else (like pre patch wws)

outside of the elemental spread, i can't see any advantages. anyone have a good usecase for these, or is it just a vanity/collector pet?

@Pawain , thx for taking the time to do this one. i didn't realize how light on points these things were

@Ang7 any pet with Magery uses 1501 points for that and eval, and we can not get the points back. So a pet starting with Magery will be a lesser pet by the end. Similar to the Wildfire Ostard.

Too bad you can not turn these into Ethys.

Clydesdale at one-slot is a side grade from one-slot lesser hiryu and swamp dragon. Use one-slot clydesdale for mage characters that do not require an ethy or cast 5-slot colossus/reaper. Blanks a fatal hit at range.
At 5-slots it is a Swiss Army Knife of taming, along with the lesser hiryu. Lesser hiryu has access to grasping claw, which horses do not. Clydesdale is not a Tokuno pet so can not get "real" bushido or ninjitsu.

The Shadowmane is a second chance for players to make a rideable life leech pet for those missing the rideable bear from previous event. Does not have native life leech as the bear, but can be added as special ability since no breath weapon occupying slot. The bear is arguably better, but the price tag to get one post event is high.
