*Strolls in and Fills his U-Hall Mug with Seattle’s best one last time in 2009*
I hope every one has a Safe New Years Eve and a 2010 filled with not so much of what you want but what You need. I feel that 2009 and the way things are, made me more aware of what I have and how lucky I truly am.
My Wife of 26 years is Healthy, My 2 children are Healthy and I have been given a second chance to become healthier.
On May 7th of this year I was told that I have TYPE 2 Diabetes. One year ago I weighted 380 lbs and had a 56” waist. Today I am 295 lbs and have a 48” waist. My BP was 192/148 it is now 107/75 ish.
I have another 50 lbs to go, taking it slow and doing it the right way. I have changed my eating habits and have taken back control of my life. Not so much for me, but for my Family. I want to be there for the moments that are important to THEM, as those are the ones that are the MOST important to me. Seeing the Home runs, hearing the Christmas Concerts, watching the Graduation from High School etc…
I do not Play UO anymore, as the time is not mine to commit, the time is My Families. I still come to the Boards and I still have WONDERFUL memories of all my 8 + years of playing. My Addiction started on 1-23-00 and as most know once touched by UO, you never fully get over it. That is why I mod the posts for the Memorial Forum.
Well enough with that, as I said, I hope all have a Blessed, Safe and Healthy New Year.
Peace Be with all of You My U-Hall Friends and Family
