There is a place many are unaware of; a place between dimensions and between worlds. To some it is known as the Outside, to others, the Unknown. To Penrose however, it is called the Dark. Despite its name, the Dark is not an empty place, but instead a dwelling of unspeakable things. Horrors not meant for the minds of men. Though such knowledge is lost in modern time, there are those who have deliberately unmasked what lies beyond and have gazed into the eyes of horror itself. Penrose is one such being. Originally seeking out forbidden knowledge that the Dark may be hiding, Merek had discovered something else entirely....
A creature born of the Dark, a thing whose true nature is so awful most would not speak its name.
It took the form of an ethereal wolf, but had expressions of malice and violence, a thing that could cause all but the most stalwart to cringe in fear.
Penrose watched as it appeared to feed on its predations, growing and swelling as it gorged itself.
"What are you?" Penrose shouted.
For a moment, no answer was given, and the air calmed around Merek.
The ethereal wolf slowly turned its face toward Penrose and a voice, that of a young girl whispered --
"Seska..."
