Thug thiefs ideal weapon. Poisoning and shadow strike +only needing what 20dex for capped Swing.

It is a very nice blade, one that I certainly wouldn't mind having, but I only have but a million or so, plus whatever may be on my vendors.

The prices have been inflated here lately, in anticipation of SA's release. Everyone wants a great weapon to enchance, making it their perfect weapon.

There's nothing you can do with that wep but unravel it. There's already 5 properties on it, and the leech is nearly useless on that wep. It's certainly very nice, but IMHO, not worth 8 mill. I am personally anticipating many weapons of this, and higher quality shortly after SA release.

I paid 2 mill for this (which is very nice for a necro in vamp form):

IMHO, that spike is easily worth 8 mil. It's almost perfect and will be better than many people make after SA. I've always felt Life Leach is underestimated. It adds an extra 5 to 7 damage and in a few swings, that adds up. Plus the hit spell, HLD (a MUST for a good wep), and allows for low dex so you have max mana and 150 hps with a decent runic suit.

Plus, nowadays, HCI and DCI are wasted on your wep. They are to easy to max with the trammy suits now available on Siege. I don't feel you'll find a substantially better spike even after SA.

After imbuing a weapon, it cannot be repaired or powdered. So most imbued weaps used by melee characters will last what, a few weeks? I can wear my weap down from 255-100 in a hard night of PvPing

well...You will be able to take the life leech off and throw somthign else on there...i would put either HLA or FC1 imo. Secondly you will powder it up oto 255 before doing anything to it. My bokuto was at 255 when i first got it 1.5 years ago. Its now at 248/248...These new weapons are gonna last MUCH longer than a few weeks.

Speedy got it wrong ( as usual ) imbued weapons can't be powered 'again' but can be repaired till they break..

Not unless they changed it from the first proposal, which they may have. Yet again. I have a life, I don't try to be the best at video games.

Please correct me if I'm mistaken here, but from the way I read the SA Imbuing FAQ thread, you are not going to be able to remove a specific property from an item. Unraveling destroys the entire item, and cannot be used selectively.

If anyone can provide a link to something concrete on this, I'd very much appreciate it. I have several weps that are 1 property away from being just stupidly nasty.

Speedy, from what I read very recently, they did indeed change this, and the item can be repaired, but no PoF'd after it's been imbued. This should allow the imbued items to last quite a long time.

Q: How is the intensity of the mod you add determined? For Example, it could be determined by the "recipe" you select on the mod menu (ex. greater DI or lesser DI) or it could be determined by your overall skill level in imbuing and some random modifier.
A: You basically will have arrow indicators in the interface where you can increase or decrease the intensity. Similar to the crafting menu, you'll see the ingredients required to perform the Imbuing. So you'll be able to see exactly what is required including success chance.

taken from - http://vboards.stratics.com/showthread.php?t=107643&highlight=remove

Later in the discussion..on page 4 i believe people state you will be able to imbue an item to 0, which will remove the property all together, although this is all speculation at this time. But from the above statement it seems as if you'll be able to take a item property to 0 and ultimately remove that property.

Oh, interesting! Looking forward to seeing how the final system works upon release.

Best of luck on getting what you want for that spike. It wasn't my intent to try to try to lower the perceived value of the spike, just to make sure people are informed about the SA situation, including myself.. :)

To be able to repair imbued items but not POF them seems pointless to me.... if you POF it up to 255, it will take at MAX 2-3 days of PvP to bring it to 0. So you can use it for...3 years? By then the weap will be phased out

I believe its gonna be harder than people think to be able to Imbue a weapon to perfection...its either A) going to take a **** ton of ingrediants or B) have about a .01% chance of success when all the mods start hitting the roof. For those reasons alone making the weapon last longer than a month is a good thing.

Ok let me try to clear the air a lil here.... here are a couple of examples...

kryss
50 hit dispell
50 hld
snake slayer
30 ssi
45 dmg
This wep will almost guarantee you to not fail

kryss
18 hit dispell
12 hld
mage wep -25
5 ssi
12 dmg
This wep will almost surely fail to imbue

I think you just confused me more than I already was. It looks like the only thing that can be improved upon is the DI, by 5% in the first example. I thought the point of imbuing was to improve a weapon that could use it. Why would the one almost maxxed out already be easier to imbue? In what way is it easier? From what I read, you would only imbue (improve) one property of the item at a time, so how would it be easier to succeed if the item is already almost as good as it can be already?

Please elaborate on this if you already have first-hand knowledge of the system as it currently is implemented.

Well in the first weapon you would want to get rid of the hit dispell ans snake slayer and since the intensity of the properties are near maxed it will make it easier to imbue. And the 2nd weapon has lower intensity level on the properties which means you would prolly fail. You should get awesome ingredients for the snake slayer and hit dispell since they are maxed out properties. Well my body is subject to human error so i could be wrong. :)

Here's the way I see it, which I think I'm pretty correct. To get rid of a max spell your going to have to take away 50 points...which will probably be the same as adding 50 points. So very hard/lots of materials. Same with snake slayer since its a max property. Now when you imbue an item to zero your not going to get no ingredients. The only way to get ingredients is to unravel an item completely. There is a table conversion on the link i provided in an earlier post that breaks down what you get for what you unravel.

But again, SA is not out yet. Everything up to this point is complete speculation. But with what Lerucian (sp?) has said and answered, I'm fairly confident in my above statement.

I'm hoping as a crafter you can make whatever types of suits that you want.

That would be l33t and monster hunters would be out after good stuffs.
