I actually ran one blessed as a non faction mage along with one of those nifty spell books, a sammy helm, and some nice dci jewels; relativly inexpensive way for a non-faction mage to really get a boost to thier mana regen and lmc.

I also ran one on my stealth tamer as a blessed item. It's a great item for non-factioners imo.

I never said it was a terrible way to go.. only mentioned the primary use. True, it can be usefull running it in the field, but as a non-(rich/pvper) I have never dealt with that.

I am not rich either which is why I actually used it as blessed piece. Some of my more wealthy friends used them as mil per throwaway items:).
