Is Seige worth it? I personally love shards with no tremmal!
But is it worth it? taking 10 hours to get a suit and then getting pkd and getting it all taken away? Worth it or not? Is seige active??
Well you could look at it another way too, no insurance YOU lose your suit.
If you are into pvp as a template, one day YOU will be TAKING the suits too or whatever you may find useful to add to your suit off of THEIR SUIT, after ya win a fight or two.
Personally I no longer bother to pvp at all since AOS.
But I have played UO since 1998 solid no deactivations ever.
So back in the day, pre insurance even on that other shard where my chrs. were all born, they lost a LOT being murdered drylooted. That was the way of the UO world back then.
And then ONE fine day, a guy killed my chr. took my hard earned then IN suit of valorite archer suit. I felt devastated cuz it took me long time to make the gold to BUY said suit and lost it 2 days after I bought it. One week later, I KILLED HIM, took back MY suit and his suit TOO!
WAS IT WORTH IT damn skippy it was.. slap happiest lil uo day of my life back then was when folks finally figured out they might NOT gain a thing from my lil warrior chr. back then. Made em all think twice, back then, before strikin me, back in the day once I *earned* my stripes, there ages ago.
So if you are even remotely thinking to possibly make a pvp chr. here...ONE FINE DAY...you may find you do not lose a suit, but maybe you GAIN one ! UO was never meant to be a world of ...never losing a thing..nor GAINING, a thing !
UO was never meant to be cushiony easy street either, it was to try to mimac RL where we DO LOSE and GAIN, we have both, happen to us all !
Siege is still that way ! Kinda more like how UO was intentionally meant to be, win some loose some, or if nothing else, earn your way, one way or another to find your place in the UO world; be ya a pvper pk crafter or whatevers.
But ya gotta be WILLIN to LOSE in order to WIN, so to speak, in anything anyone DOES in life or games...taking a RISK to become, whatever one wishes to BECOME ! sorta like the US ARMY sayin... BE ALL YOU CAN BE ! But if ya never risk tryin ya never will know the potential ya coulda had and lost cuz ya never TRIED !
[UO sort of mimacs rl ya know], there be those that CRY over breaking a finger nail, there be those of us in rl and games whom get our fingers broken and still can/will TYPE and are quite willing to turn any hardship, into opportunities to GROW, & to progress instead, of crying over spilt milk, can make a custard out of devastation of spilt milk, instead !
No one is defeated by anything ever, unless they permit themselves to FEEL that way, perma like !
