have these been nerfed now?, i remember reading that you can grow them, but i cant
You are right. seeds of renewal still drop from gardening, but the drop rate has been seriously nerfed since last patch. Not documented by patch notes, but when the same batch of 40 plants drops 8 seeds the four days before patch, and 1 seed the four days after the patch, something is seriously amiss.have these been nerfed now?, i remember reading that you can grow them, but i cant
I don't think they were ever meant to - they are just an imbuing reagent in their own right, rather than a 'seed' to grow a new plant.but none grow![]()
You can't grow them. I just tried a sec ago.true,
i did read that they could be grown, so i suppose that window was well and trurly closed!
40 plants by 4 days means 160 attempts. That starts to be a decent statistical sample. 8 in 160 vs 1 in 160 sounds pretty suspect.See the RNG goes in your favour when you don't want it to.
Pretty much in line with my pre-patch ratio. Therefore I have to ask you: when the "other day" was?I harvested 45 plants the other day and got 15 seeds of renewal.. 45x8= 360 seeds. If my math is right, that's 2.4%? Someone correct me though.
oh, post patch.. tuesday this week.Pretty much in line with my pre-patch ratio. Therefore I have to ask you: when the "other day" was?
Open call to gardeners:
If you are going to sell these - sell for a reasonable price. Don't make me garden too. I will if I have to but I'd rather support a local gardener.
On GL someone is selling 10 for 4 mil and 1 seed for 300k.
I'll grow my own plants before I'd pay that sort of cost. 40k each is more reasonable given the effort. I mean, put a plant in a pot - add water and cure pots once a day. Harvest seeds.

About what I am seeing so far. As well as a friend of mine (she grows alot more plants than I do).5% harvest rate
I grow my own resources and lately regular plants for dyes, so I'm getting my own seeds of renewal as a bonus. I really can't see why 300k per seed. Sure they're scarce but not that rare. Keep in mind you're getting these for FREE considering you were growing the plants anyway. Also 10 of these seeds = +1 stat regen, not a game-breaking property to do without, and certainly doesn't add 4mil value to the price of a piece of armour.Open call to gardeners:

And as Theo says, stupid prices just encourage people to by-pass dedicated plant vendors and grow their own. If you price everything you sell so high that people say "screw it, I'll grow/make/get it myself", you'd never make any money. You have to price things closer to what they're worth than some perceived rarity. No item can be truly rare as long as it still spawns.
I think you and I have differing views on decency and I respect you views. To me, 3-4m for 10 seeds isn't "decent", it's ludicrous. You have to look at what use they are. 10 seeds add an extra +1 to mana or hp regen, or +2 to stam regen. That's just one property on one piece of armour. Worst case, 18-24m for a full suit before you've even added resists etc.So yeah, maybe 300K is a little much, but do you *really* think that everybody is going to run out and plant 100 seeds (after they go find 100 seeds) and become a gardener just because people are asking for a decent amount of gold for one of these?
50K is much closer to "decent", but still 500K for +1 regen. Myself, if I put something on a vendor and it sells the same day, I regard it as a good thing. It means I have customers and I'm not ripping anyone off in the transaction. I don't even care if it's being re-sold elsewhere. Good luck to them. For me the merchant playstyle is about the sale, about the customer, about fulfilling a niche.. not about the maxi-profit. I'm not running a charity but I'm not holding anything to ransom either.Mine are priced at 50K and if I put a few on my vendor at 8am, they are usually gone by noon. That really means I've got them underpriced.
