If i understand your questions, I'll try and help. I only obtained 2 event items this season. (Actually got as a drop, how rare is that?!?!)

I use a program called Ulead gif animator. Its freeware, and easy to use.

Can you show me how to do this, or do it for me? I'd like to animate the "escape route back to darkness."

Also, how do people take pics of items with no background?

I use Gimp 2.0 and cut out each item then paste it onto a transparent layer. If its not animated I save it as a .png and if it is animated I save it as a .gif With an animation the item has multiple frames, so I hue and cut out each item frame and paste it onto its own Transparent layer (while making sure I line each one up correctly since they move positions) then I save the image and set it to replace frame by frame with a timing of 250-400ms per frame depending on the items in game speed (If the item has the same background and isn't transparent then I set the frames to Combine and optimize the image for animation.)


*I made that sound more sophisticated then it is LoL Once you do it 2 or 3 times its not so bad*
