Scuttled ship

OK, here is my quandry:

Logged out Christmas eve on my ship in the middle of Trammel seas. Logged on Christmas day, found my ship scuttled. Effected emergency repairs and limped to shore. Performed permanent repairs. Ship is now Pristine and like new. However it still looks like hell. When I try to move it, I get the message that it is scuttled.

Question 1) What's the chance I will get help from a GM on Christmas day?

Question 2) Will I have to wait for server up tomorrow to get the ship back?

Question 3) How did I get in this predicament? Will orc ships attack an unattended, logged out ship? Can players attack an unattended logged out ship?

Question 4) Should I start transferring the 11,000 stone payload to a safe place?

Thanks for any response. What a bummer. (BTW I have logged out several times and re-logged back in to no avail.)

In Fel anyone and everyone can attack your ship whether you are on it or not... and once scuttled they can raid your hold.

In Tram guild and alliance members CAN scuttle your ship. Orcs and Pirates WILL scuttle your ship whether or not your on it.

Also I had that happen but after the timer ran out on my emergency repair.. it fixed itself. So keep sailing and hopefully it'll be ok in time.. Try crossing a server...... sometimes I hear that fixes it. Other than that you can try a GM but hehe good luck.

Thanks for the quick response. Will log back in and see if I can "emergency repair" a Pristine ship (that is scuttled lol) so I can limp to a server line.

Emergency repaired my scuttled pristine like new ship. Got 15 min of reduced speed time to get to a server line. On the way I ran into another orc ship!! However made it across a server line. When the emergency repair timed out, I got the ship back.

Been wondering what would have happened if the orcs had killed me and left me dead on the scuttled ship with no way of repairing it as a ghost with no repair materials. Will try that next time lol.

Just as a reminder you can use commodity deeds in your ships hold.

Can you use commodity deeds in classic style ships? Also, can you do them both ways or only create them?

Haven't tried it in the classic ships as the holds are alot smaller

They work both ways, which makes it far easier to haul all those repair boards to the ship.
