Greetings fellow scribes!
I am excited to bring you news of a new guild, Scribes United. It is a guild formed exclusively for scribes. Not one of those warrior guilds where they force their scribes into making recalls and runebooks all day! A true scribes guild.
Recently as a reward for my hard work, Lord Raven of Minoc gave me title to a small plot of land near his home. I was at a loss as to how I would use this land till my father, a wealthy trader in Trinsic, offered funds for the construction of a fine home. After the construction was finished, I felt that it might make a nice place for scribes to meet and exchange ideas so I had the locks removed from the doors.
I have included an illustration and map to help you locate my home. From the town of Minoc, go north through the woods. Take care, as a foul ogre lives in the woods. At times, reapers, gargoyles and harpies may also lurk about. But not in large numbers. I hope you can visit.

GUILD CHARTER: Advance the profession and promote fellowship.
1. Inscription is one of the most important skills in all of Sosaria. Imagine life without runebooks! All commerce would grind to a virtual halt. Scribes are important, yet we do not go about boasting of our accomplishments as the warriors and crafters do. Maybe we should. One function of this guild is to increase the visibility of scribes through public events. Scribes are the storytellers of our lands. No warrior achieves fame without the effort of a scribe setting his pen to ink!
<font color="red"> The main purpose of this guild is press pen to paper and write the stories that one day will become legends. </font>
I have planted an "Inspiration Garden" on the roof of my home. I hope that some day those empty pedestals will be adorned with fine stories. Written by all of you! I think an important function of the guild would be peer review and publication of works of fiction and fact.
2. Some tasks set forth for scribes require ingredients that we may find dangerous to obtain on our own, so I propose that this guild work towards providing opportunities for scribes that only a guild can provide. To that end, warriors and mages may apply for membership or act as friends of the guild to assist in obtaining these ingredients.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP:
A full member of the guild will be required to pass a test. An individual will be given 5 chances to inscribe an 8th level spell onto a blank scroll.
Warriors wishing to become "Defenders" need only display a love of literature to be accepted in the guild. Defenders will be expected to undertake dangerous assignments and to protect the guild members from the harpies, gargoyles and reapers that spawn sometimes at my house.
<font color="blue"> Any person, irregardless of guild membership may submit written works for peer review by the guild. Works of exceptional quality will be published and put on public display. This means that even though the guild is located on the Atlantic shard, I welcome stories written by the many talented writers from the many facets of Sosaria. </font>
I am planning on hosting an event where we can all meet and discuss your ideas for the guild. With the upcoming holiday, I am postponing setting a date for a week or two. However, if you are feeling adventurous and wish to visit the house you are welcome to stop by. Inside there is a bulletin board where you can leave a message.
