Well I got scammed after 9yrs of UO. My account was deleted, I lost about 100mill in items and about 40 mill in checks. The culprit actually named the character Diablo thx scanner. I don't think it was him at all.

But I did not take the account i sold kage back nor did i log on to it, loot it or anything else, so it was either his main account that got taken or another account of his. It had nothing to do with me. I dont know his main account info nor do i have any way of i getting it. I've never bought any accounts from kage.

Kage - I encourage you to contact EA and ask them to investigate this. I would also contact the Net Crimes division of your local police department [most have them these days] and file a theft report. Either way, I know for a fact that EA can sometimes determine who did what and occasionally even replace certain items under certain circumstances. Regardless of any of that, its worth pursuing. Don't take BS like this lying down.

E.A. keeps logs of their phone call them up and find out if anyone called about your account names that this happened to. They will tell you if anyone tried to get information or anything like this is all on record they may not tell you names of who they talked to but they will tell you their was a person calling about the account.

Also contact EA as Kat said if the character was deleated they have his skills etc saved, anything the character had scroll wise they can revert for you. If you explain you were hacked and the characters was deleated. They can at least save your character

Don´t quit over something like this Kage. That will only make the person who did it even more satisfied with him/herself.

Step away from the computer for a week or so and then come back and accept an offered account if you need and as for items, I guess your guild would be wealthy enough to get you back in no time.

I can understand you want to quit now but that´s probably cuz it just happened and the shock is talking...

I don't know if you got scammed or not. However, before you hand over any accounts or anything else to Kage...consider that he may be on here posting that he got hacked when he didn't to scam you.

They will tell you if anyone tried to get information or anything like this is all on record they may not tell you names of who they talked to but they will tell you their was a person calling about the account.

lol.... blame it all on me i dont even care anymore its not the first time i've been blamed for **** wont be the last in my life so whatever honestly I havent played in the past 2 months dont intend to start again soon. So, I'm not an SPer, but a few friends of mine recently got hacked. The items can't be recovered, I'm afraid, but the account can. Just requires you to demonstrate payment history. These are the steps.

First, ask a GM to lock your account.

Second, follow these instructions:

If your password is not working, the first thing to check is your Caps Lock key. Passwords are case sensitive, so if your Caps Lock is on, toggle it off and try logging in again. My friends were able to get their accounts back. They were looted dry, but they still had their scrolled characters and castles. Good luck.

As far as I see it, the way it is described someone called EA, impersonated you, and took your swag. EA being a large company probably has these call logs, and maybe even the phone number that called. I would contact the local police department.
