Reports of savage attacks outside the city in the woods north of Skara Brae have reached Governor Ophelia. Small flocks of creatures with the head of a woman and the body of a bird are attacking caravans, camps and farmers from the air! The creatures have been seen flying back towards the northern mountain ranges.
Ranger scouts have tracked the beasts back to a twisted and grotesque yew tree near the base of the mountain range. The ancient tree appears to be rooted in a festering poisonous swamp. The scouts had never seen a tree that was able to survive such harsh conditions. Realizing it would be dangerous to proceed without the proper equipment, the scouts hastily rode back to Skara Brae. The weary scouts informed the governor about the blighted grove. Governor Ophelia has declared that a hunting party be assembled and sent to eliminate the creatures that threaten Skara Brae.
The hunting party will be departing Saturday July, 1 at 2 PM EST from The Shattered Skull Tavern. Bone machete's will be provided to help hack thru the dense vegetation of the Blighted Grove. All defenders of Skara Brae and citizens of the realm are welcome to join the hunting party!
