Santa will be at Vesper Bank giving out gifts to all who stop by. His arrival time is expected to be 3PM EST Sunday, December 18. Come by and get a gift box!
Just curious, I'm new to siege, took an 8 year break from UO, did everyone get the same box contents? I'm only asking cause I'm new again and wanted to know if the rune books are special or just normal rune books. Either way I'm thrilled but I just wanted to understand my present better lol.

The runebooks were crafted specially for the event by dedicated elves. They are new books, called Runic Atlas, which hold a lot more runes. They are dyed with either a runebook dye tub or plant dyes. They will hold a lot more runes than the old runebooks, and the elves thought they would be very useful on Siege. I'm very glad you made it. Let folks know if you have questions or need some assistance. Welcome to Siege!

I want to thank all the hard working elves, especially Thring, Kensie Mori, and Pepper MinStix. Thring hunted up all the chocolate making items needed to create the Nutcrackers. Years ago we brought Santa to Siege when we had the ICE Winter Party, in 2004. I thought it was time Santa came back to town! Many thanks to Victim, Governor of Vesper, who gave permission for me, PEC Raine, and PEC Wraith to paint the town red, and park Santa's Sleigh and reindeer by the bank. Thank you to Leawyn, who provided the red reward cloth that Santa specially requested. Thank you to Sara Dale, who brought Santa cookies and Milk. He gets grouchy without them. Many thanks to all who came, and added a little spice. Santa can tell his grand children how he was killed while handing Max a gift. We realize it was an "accident", and Max was aiming for an elf!

A big thanks to Santa and his elves for this Christmas event on Siege. If Santa should need help next year, just ask, both me and Tina Tink do have elf ears and Tina can be a hard working elf, I may be one of the more lazy one but can do some hunting if needed.

Here is what I wrote after the party:
Oh my head, what did happen last evning
Sits up in my coffin, my head and the rest of my body hurts, what did I do to it?
A lot of pics are in my head, wine, red like blood, humans, elves, necks, only few with gorget, Santa, snowballs, drunk friends, drunk elves, drunk humans.
Trying to find out why my body hurts like I had been drunk, how could I be drunk? My vampire body do not allow me to drink, only from the neck of someone.
I start to remember, I was invited to a Christmas party, Prince Tom of ICE had invited me.
I wanted to bring Woody, an old friend of me, the last mayor of Safe Haven, from before the town died and become a ghost town.
I was making a gate for me and Woody, but Woody got a message, he was not allowed to go to this new land Malas, he had to stay home and take care of Safe Haven and NEW and let a younger family member, Blaze go in his place.
A lot of people was there for the party, most new faces, a lot was people I had been helping getting started with letting my brother Tengel take them in in the guild NEW to make their first month a little easier.
I think Blaze did feel a little lonely, looking for all the names Woody keep telling stories about. He did drink a lot and during the feast, he feeled ill and I hade to send him home, but he did meet Santa, he was a little shy at the first and did not want to join us on the line, but when most had meet Santa, he at last found his place in the line. I remember he brought Santa a pair of boots he had made on his own, Blaze is a young tailor and he was proud, when Santa tried the boots and said, they was nice and comfy.
The elves keep giving me bottles of wine, I could not make myself telling them, that my vampire body would not allow me to drink it.
But what did happen, why do my head hurt and why do my body feels like I had been drunk.
I start to remember, I gave the bottles to friends and one feeled sorry for me, he was already drunk. He offered me to drink the wine and then let me drink from his neck. I was a little worried, if I would be able to stop again, but he insisted and we gave it a try.
It was much easier to stop than I had feared and the wine did work on me, I become drunk too.
It scare me, I remember other necks, drunk friends, elves, humans, who all was happy to see me and wanted to give me hugs and did place their neck dangerous near my fangs and it was not possible for me to stop myself from taking a little drink. I don't think any of them found out and hope they won't see the marks on their neck, when they wake up today.
Santa, I remember I was sitting on Santa's knees, like a little girl.
He asked me if I had been good.
I told him, I had been good.
He mumbled something about me being red and good, like it was two thing, that could not fit together.
I'm not sure what he did mean with red.
He gave me a nice but heavy rock. I know my sister Rosalia will beg to have it for her garden. Later I meet Santa again, and he gave my some nice cookies. I will bring them to the NEW house when I'm able to get up of this coffin.
It was a wonderful evening, everyone was happy and there was a lot of snowball fighting and no one did see, that I took a little drink here and there and I think I must had got very drunk, can't remember how I got home.
Thanks to ICE Clan for a wonderful party. I enjoyed it very much, think all did and I hope all will forgive me for the marks they will find on their necks when they wake up.

Wonderful to reminisce with your story about attending the ICE Winter Solstice Party, Freja. That was a great event. We had 80 people come to that event.

Even when Siege was more wild in 2004, the shard could still do event like the ICE Winter Solstice Party.

Ahh Tionne!! That was my Daughter Char. Before a name change. [C8V] was the guild she and my Char were in back then
Nice did not know that
C8V...we used to raid them a bunch until they started paying us for protection when they did harrowers. Then they accepted a couple of traitors who had left our clan of Brigands and we went back to killing them.
Freja, thank you for the screen shots! Great to see so many names, and I'm happy that a few of us are still on Siege. That was one of my favorite events that I helped put on in all the years I have played. It was wonderful that so many people came, and we didn't have any problems whatever at the event. Tionne did a wonderful job as a reporter. It was great working with Tigasalot, ICE, and all the KVP crew that came as Santa and the Elves. They are all gone now, but our new crew does a fantastic job, so I think Santa will be back. That screen shot has the sleigh we invented. Santa's sleigh is more festive now, but this early version did a good job of hauling all those presents.
