Sampire Healing Question

I was curious as to people's take on this. My current build on my sampire is 120 bush/fence/tact, 100 anat, 99 necro, 90 heal, 61 chiv (710 pt acct).

I have liked having healing, but i am wondering if i would be better off with adding 120 Parry/Resist and being able to swap them off when needed.

That being said, i guess healing has been my crutch to this point. How do people heal themselves? Lot of pots? B/c i find even with Vamp Embrace + perfection, i STILL need to use bandaids. Also, if people use a lot of pots, i would assume that is why i see people using EP on Turquiose Rings and such.

Thanks in advance

i dont use pots for healing at all. ve and life leech on certain wpns.

altho, if u have the stones, why not swap skills around? test it out. see what works better for u in certain scenarios.

If your suit is less then optimal, it could be that you are better of with healing.
Personally i never found a use for healing, exceptions may be slasher and navrey.
Even if i run my fencing sampire with resist instead of anatomy, i leech enough to stay alive. Feint, evasion and confidence are your friends. Also i do like the mana discount i get from having parry, that allows an additional armor ignore now and then when low. If you have the lmc on suit to keep feint on, you dont need healing.
I usually carry some gheal pots for emergencies but tend to not use many.

:) as mentioned test it out :)
I for myself run healing on my sampie.....especially now with the new healing changes its handy to cure the poison AND get some heal....I used parry 120 before but stoned it and switched to healing.....actually never looking back to parry :) ofc I get hit more and use more mana, but wouldn't miss my bandies....it all really depends on your playstyle, suit, choice of weapon...

Get parry and/or parry and cast curse weapon when you need a heal. On my main sampire I never bother to cast anything anymore save for when I am fighing a Riktor.

I'd second the review of your suit and see if you remake or tweak it such that you have more HP or stam if those are lower than optimal. Are you running two handed weapons or a shield? If not then have a look at carrying G-Heals, dex and str pots for the buff and I'm gonna die last resort heal. Review your weapons and see if those are of the same type most of the other posters here use, these make a difference due to damage per second ratios that some of us use to build a suit around.

I say parry over healing, purely for the mana discount on AI.

My sampire thrower has 80 healing and 180+ stamina, and I'm getting the "fingers slip" message so often now it's beginning to get annoying. Not sure how often your getting it at 90 or GM healing. I don't use pots and I like having 80 healing just to be able to rez people since I only have 65 healing, but now I'm wondering if I should just junk healing, raise chiv to where I could use noble sacrifice if needed, and start using pots, and since I'm a gargoyle, I also have the natural 30 myst that I could use the healing stone which heals about 12 points.

Yeah, thanks for the replies all. In regards to the suit, i am in the process of remaking it - so for the poster that asked, i really dont have stats to lay out atm. I guess it is more playstyle (prob need to work in more fients/evasion - i tend to primarily use AI and LS) - with a little bit of suit. May also be what i am fighting. Really only have tried Narvey - and i feel like i would die even quicker to the rooting webs if i didnt have healing.

I guess my 1 follow up is weapon. I am using a leaflade with 40 DI, Slayer, 50 HLA, 50 HStaLee, 60 HML. Someone mentioned Life Leech. Should i replace HLA with HLL? or is the VE HLL enough?

Thanks again

i havent been able to play my sampire in about 2 months. everyone is talking about leeching changes. im not sure if life leech is gonna make a diff anymore.

the only reason i shove life leech on is due to the fact that i got ssi/di on my suit and have empty slots for my wpn. i can take my stam leech to 50 on non-exc wpns and still have a bunch of % pts left to stuff into life leech since the ssi is 0 is on the wpn.

i did navrey when it first came out. bored the livin bajeezus outta me, never went back. i dunno if HLL will help u there or not.

Best choice for navrey is to drop necro at all, do 120 healing/anat and 120 ninjitsu instead of bushido. Its not really sampire friendly because of the webbing and lethal poison, a bad rng roll can always give you a deathrobe, no matter how hard you try.

For mirror images, chance to deflect the attack to image is 90% at 120.
Navrey also loves to teleport your images around instead of you, big bonus here.

With healing, I'm not sure I ever die at Navrey.

With 0 healing, it's definitely a pain in the ass.
