Why not quibble about Curse Weapon? How does that work? and if that's legitimate it justifies vampirism's logic.

You're continuing lack of knowledge of the template (and disdain for it based on lack of knowledge) is summarized by your remarks about how necromancy and chivalry can't co-exist. Sampires don't continuously cast necro spells. My sampire has the highest karma (and fame until I sacrifice) of any of my characters. I cast EXACTLY one necro spell....vampiric embrace....and only do that after dieing. Not hard to see how necro and chiv can co-exist quite well in such a situation.

Can't a samurai that have traveled to a foreign land be converted to a worshiper of the deities there and learn paladin spells?

Or can't a gaijin paladin learn bushido from a sensei?

Or are you saying that paladins belongs solely to deities of "good" mythos? Who's to say the evil deities don't have their own dark knights (with equivalent spells to put them on par with "good" paladins) that they need to protect the clergy?

On that line of thought, who says good paladins cannot learn necromancy spells? Casting them would diminish the strength of their goodly powers of course. Which they have to atone for by wantonly murdering more monsters that are just protecting their homes from being invaded.

Finally, you don't really suck the blood from your victims even if you use a melee weapon. Then, there are also opponents that don't have blood like gollems and elementals. What's happening is that you are using a spell that converts the life force of any being you injure into your own life force.

The only thing that's illogical is why a mage in vampire from can't leech hp via spells

really? if you want to be "all for real" about the classes
1.) knights dont fight with bows, close combat is considered more chivalrous
2.)there are no vampires, its a spell thats drains life from damage
3.) samurais were very lazy,poetic,and very self righteous.
they followed a belief that you dont dishonor your name,family or someone of higher stature, they often killed peasants and serfs for convience to themselves.

sounds just right in the game

as for ninjas, let me know when i can climb over ridiculous obstacles, sit under water and breathe through a reed.

Exactly, and you aren't biting people to steal their blood either. You've got some wacky magic power that sucks life force from people when they are wounded.

And yeah, it does seem odd that you can do these things together. Just need to tie them both to karma more, that would effectively separate them, but still allow some level of meshing.

Are we seriously trying to argue logic in a fantasy game? I guess the first question I have to ask is whose logic are we arguing? Not everyone follows the exact same logic for a fantasy game.

And UO lore? I thought we knew by now that a lot of the new stuff in this game doesn't exactly follow the old Ultima lore.

How's this for logic though: A waterfall tile in a house that both goes nowhere and comes from nowhere. The fact we cannot pull up a hood from every robe. We harvest wood from trees yet they remain standing, even after there is no more wood to harvest. Characters seem to be the same size as the horse they ride. 6 gold stacked looks like a huge pile of gold....

I'm going to stop there. Could probably make an endless list.
