Salvage bag questions

I have just returned to UO after a few years so this is something new to me, and I keep getting varied responses.

Is there actually a bonus to using a salvage bag for blacksmith, tailor or imbuer?

Well. You Smelt or Render everything in the bag with a single click...I consider that a bonus myself

yes there is a bonus, iirc it is like 1 more ingot/1 leather from each item more that just smelt/recycling alone. it does add up if you are making then unraveling/smelting many items. I have one for each of my legendary tailor and blacksmith.

Unless they fixed it, it's just the 1 ingot - no bonus for tailor.

But, the convenience is great.

You can also use it to cut multiple types of cloth into bandages, or if you still collect bones instead of buying them, to cut bone piles all at once into the usable tailor/mysticism bones. Before SA, I would load up a salvage bag at Ilshenar Oaks from Shadow wisps, then click the bag to convert them.

The Salvage bag will also cut up the "reversed" male leather and studded leather pieces that won't recycle otherwise.
