well, that one spawn in SA(LS) now has SIX paragon servants. That, to me is UNPLAYABLE.

for those that say it's a 'challenge'. go for it. You can't even just 'run thru it' either- especially done the path to the Rest of the area. spamming paralyze poison, BS

Paragon elves invade the Abyss...

That's from Europa, so it seems it may be happening on all shards. As far as I could see from a short walk about, it's only those elves that are spawning paragons - but it is every elf that spawns as a paragon.

I'm guessing something's gone awry with the data codes for monsters....

well considering that seems to be the Only mob in the Abyss spawning as a paragon, atleast that I have seen, its definently a bug.

I did the spawn once a day or so ago, and Every single servant was a Paragon.

Unfortunately I didn't get any paragon boxes from any of them.

In certain areas there will also be a chance when killing creatures for a renowned version of those creatures to be spawned. Similar to a paragon but not as friendly.

Since I've never seen a paragon or reknowned on shame...

No the renowned are the Guardians that you spawn with the crystals, and yes they are as fast as paragons.

No they spawn normal monsters was renowened too, i killed a renowned mud elemental 2 days ago.

They are not too bad if you have sw and hit em with Thunderstorm to slow the casting recovery down. 120 sw and hitting them with that takes them back down to their normal casting time.

I have been reminded the acid ele and wyvern can also be affected. I'm gonna go ahead and assume the fire ele can as well. I have not seen any other spawn areas generate paragons in the lower levels of the spawn itself.

What are you guys using to kill these things. I have used RC and have to recast a few times, but i finally get it done. Have been lucky and gotten one chest, but died a lot....these things get on you so fast...i would rather use my tamer, but i can't seem to heal without being jumped

I remember running into two Goblin paragons on TC1 when that Shame build was tested in an early stage. Both the renowned goblin mage and alchemist had spawned as paragons to my full bard copy there.

This needs fixed. Intended or not it is just stupid.
There is no logical reason to have these things here. It makes the renown a thing of the past. I have not been able to do it since these things have started spawning. This was at one time one of my fav renowns to solo & now it's not even a option. I don't even run thru there anymore.
Maybe if you must spawn paragons make it a very slim chance one will spawn not every single one....

What boss jumpers? There like 40 active players on my shard... & 30 of them just sit & the bank, deco or fish.

Once again I feel like we should have an Atlantic Forums and a 'rest of UO forums'.

Many shards are utter ghost towns. Any spawns that cannot be solo'ed requires serious effort to even find a group to do them. 5-6 people in gen chat at any given point of the day....

Again, sorry y'all are on seemingly dead shards. I would hate to know I had to solo everything in game because I had to not just because it would be a challenge. However, this spawn IS soloable even with the paragons running around. It does take a little time tho.

Should everything in game be cut back and made easier so folks on dead shards can solo it tho? Some things are not meant to be soloed, sorry. If I were on a shard that dead I would invest in some xfer tokens

Kylie, I agree with you on most things, but not this. The more content created that requires groups, the fewer players you will have.

There should be nothing - NOTHING - that can't be solo'd or require more than two people to kill. I'm not talking about making it easy, or so a sampire can kill everything, just the opposite. Once all the excitement of new boss content wears off, people drift away and the boss are left unplayed because you can't find a group - at least not on my shard and the times of day when I can play.

Major mob bosses and renowned should be a challenge, but not impossible. Some bosses should take a mage, and others bard/tamer/sampire/necro or whatever. I haven't soloed any peerless boss, but I want to some day and have that as a goal to work towards.

Atlantic is only one shard of many. If EA isn't going to combine shards or advertise to increase the shard population, it would just kill off the low population shards to require groups to kill all the big guys. And I won't spend money for a transfer token to start over on a new shard on a slowly dying game.

I would just hate to see it where things like Harry, Harbinger can be soloed if you can avoid a raid. I already find it sad Mel, Trav, DH and Shimmer can be soloed by someone at my level of play. I mean I ain't a total noob, but dang sure ain't leet.

Well I can solo just about everything in the game but these paragons kill me easier then the renown does. It's just stupid...

& I solo a harry easier then this spawn also...

Yes the spawn is very difficult with the paragon elf-mages but think back. To all you old-timer UO players back in 98'/99' don't you remember going down to bottom of Hythloth with like 20 people to kill a Balron Daemon? That was also.... 'very difficult'; monsters in general used to be much harder to kill. I find it a bit nostalgic and refreshing that it actually takes some concentration, tactics, a good suit & template to complete this spawn. I've done it maybe 5 or so times with a Disco/Provo Bard using Reptile Slayer instrument and dragon Slayer Spellbook. I've pulled 4 chests and haven't died yet but have come very close.

I believe one of the things the devs have tried to encourage is group events. Group up with a few of your buds/guildmates and this spawn should be no problem. If the complaint is coming from an individual who is hoping to solo with ease......

Personally I think they should do something THIS agressive at every place a level 8 or higher stealable spawns ESPECIALLY including Nix's shop area where the ruined painting spawns. Since the para servents have kicked in I have been able to snag 4 of the gargish luck totems. Scripters don't stand much of a chance surviving the area now so that leaves them to honest thiefs now days... well as honest as a thief can be

Now your saying this is good because of scripting thieves... Do you think about wtf your saying?
40-50 people to kill a balron ummm ok there isn't even 40 or 50 people on 90% of the shards. More importantly the renown is easier to kill then those things.
When I can solo anything in the game with a sampire but these stupid things kill me I think something needs fixed.

First, do I think about wtf I am saying? Yepp, most all the time. Having a place where stealables spawn that is almost a sure death for a stealing scripter is an added bonus for the area. I had not included it in any of my previous posts because I had not thought about it. But YEPP... anything that cuts down on scripting is ALWAYS a good thing in my book. Do you agree? or are you one of those PRO-scripter type of people?

40-50 people to kill a para Bally was when paragons first hit. And at that time there were more than enough on each shard to handle it.

I am sorry your sampire can not solo the spawn *shrugs*. Maybe you need to upgrade your gear, or your skills. Because I have seen sampires handling it. And I handle it just fine on a mage/sw/tamer. Either way no biggie to me... change it... don't change it *shrugs*. Either way I am so sorry you have found a challenge in a game that actually shows you a monochrome screen for a change.

I do agree with you that something needs to change tho. Imho vamp form should be scaled in duration based on the chars Necro and SS. But hey, that's just me.
