So.. Armor Ignore has that cool swoosh sound and an animation... spells have distinct sounds... disco you can tell when it sticks cause everything's all sparkly...

How can I tell when my fire beetle lays rune corruption on a boss?

I guess animal lore will tell me... but if boss is not an animal?

well there is no cool effect or sound.. the main way you know is you notice your pets white damage melee swing increase by 30-60 damage.( armor ignore also gets a nice increase). when you see this you can lore what you are fighting and you will see all of its Rs have been lowered by 50% If its a monster that cant be lored just watch the damage your pet is doing when you see the spike you know its landed.. =^-^=

I know when there is a successful parry you see a little white dot. I thought when rune of corruption works a little red dot. It appears briefly on your pets target, unless thats mortal wound.

Yep, there is white dot flash when armor ignore goes off too and the red/yellow dot is MS.. and sometimes bleed will also make a red dot for a moment too..just depends if ya play in Ec or cc =^-^=

White damage is usually damage done in an MMO where you don't use abilities or mana, and it's just pure auto-attack.

It's white because some games use white as the color of the text of default auto attacks of a toon.

In UO though, I've been gone so long, I'm not sure why gamers call it white, since the default is red.

But, I changed all my chat colors to mimic WoW and Final Fantasy because I'm so used to those games, my damage texts are in white, etc.

Fun little quirk about it all.
