When Darkness Falls: Ressurection of the Myrdraal

As evening shadow faded to black, Nicholas Tarrant led the Witch, Lynne Zellinous, and her human companion to the Crypt of the Myrdraal.
There he instructed her to summon and bind the Soul of Adam - the Town Guard murdered a month before - and divine the nature of his death in amongst the mist-shrouded tombs of Northern Yew.
Allowing her soul to pass between the worlds and become part of Immaterium, Zellinous was able to make out some of the haunting screams: ...Must Warn Them. The Grolm. Corruption. Void. Grolmincho. The Gate. Magincia. Must Warn Uncle. The Beasts. He was behind it. Fracturning the Guard. Beasts are returning... It was then that something changed. The summoning descended into a battle of wills. It seemed as though another power was there - a presence - one attempting to drag Adam's immortal soul into perdition.
But the Necromancer ...she would not allow it.
She screamed as she chanted - becoming Death so that she might clothe him in new flesh - but her own strength was waining. Adam was being devoured. Pulled into the Pit from whence there is no return. She leaned against Valek for support.
It was then that the Duke of Hast Mich returned from his Quest. Dropping his sword he rushed between the two - driving a ritual dagger into his abdomen and chanting Dium Prostra - sacrificing his blood and a portion of his soul to bring his nephew back.
But even his sacrifice failed to restore what once was. For he that had been young, not yet mature enough to use a razor or know the touch of a woman, was now reborn a dessicated husk. His skin was pale and wrinkled, like a death mask stretched across a bleach white skull. His hair became as white as new fallen snow.
...All this while Tarrant watched with a hint of curious amusement...
After a moment of discussion, in which he and his uncle seemed unaware of those around them, the Duke announced he would question the young man further. But not until he was well enough to speak. He scooped the figure up in his arms and bore him back to their family estate.
The Magincians exchanged dark looks with the Northman. Corruption? The Gate? Magincia? Grolm...? It was all too much to be coincidence.
Adam Myrdraal is currently recovering from his ...ressurection in Yew. His Uncle is rumored to have summoned Paladins of the Light to bless him and exorcise the corruption that still clings to his withered form. Some wonder if he is hiding something. It is also rumored that agents of House Tarrant are searching the libraries of the Seven Kingdoms - the old Codices and Grimores - seeking information on the Daemon mentioned in the ritual.
