A Song for Summer Flame: Magincia Celebrates Rebirth with Festival
WarderDragon

A week has passed since the Magincians - a people once called accursed and damned - celebrated their rebirth with a Festival. Their first since the Invasion.

Under the shadow of an impending confrontation - Magincian Warships line the Northern Harbor while Britannian Guards man the South - the Magincians celebrated their people in defiance of Britannia and toasted to a future of freedom and trade for themselves and their allies.

These are some of the highlights.

I. Lynne the Blacksmith - the mastermind behind the Faire - began the evening with a speech honoring the rebirth of Magincia and reemphasizing her views on those who would seek to subjugate it.

Daemon or Man.

II. Her speech was followed with a Regatta hosted with the help of Duchess-Regent Wildstar. You can view the course here.

Benito - renowned Friar and Drunk - managed to steer his ship to a win despite consuming enough alcohol to drop an Orc. Or Xel.

III. The returning Captains were treated to a feast catered by the renowned Magdalena - Personal Chef to the late Queen Shieba.

You can find the menu here.

IV. Once the feast had begun we were treated to an impromptu storytelling contest. The theme was 'Beginnings.'

Fig of Wolf Pack recounted a tale of Dragons and Shepherd Crooks. Nicholas Tarrant told the Saga of the Vikingr.

But it was Fern - who told of Shrines and Shirtless Men (...there was more than one) - who won the contest.

...Which was no surprise to her.

V. The evening ended with a Fishing Contest upon the Northern Shore.

While it was a close contest - Torg and Fig piling up fish behind them - it would be the Ancient One who would finish the contest in first.

The Magincians promise this will be the first of several events this Summer.
