I’ve been gone quite some time and returned recently. What is the best rotting corpse spawn location to train healing on my Cu? I’m at ~95 and wanting to take it to 120. Thanks!

Best location to train healing is on the Eodon island across water, and gathering 4-5 Dimetrosaurus with LP AoE, and have them cast on pet. Works better if you have disco and disco the pet. If you disco it, make sure you are away from the Cu as it will then kill you. So do it from afar then quickly invis for a second to break aggro and tell it to attack the Dimes across water. Watch its health as they may drop it so low that it may die esp if it healing is low. Start dosco after 100 healing..RC's will take one month and a year to raise to 115-120..

Without Disco, Healing stops gaining at 110.0, even curing Lethal Poison (Lvl 5). I use five skill trained Snakes to level Healing up to 120 on my pets. A lot faster than any other method.

Good to know. I’m at about 104. My tamer does have disco so I will do that

Thank you. I was doing this but wasn’t getting gains. Rotting corpses took me from 94-104 in about 2 hours.

PlayerSkillFTW, I've seen you mention using trained slimes and trained snakes. Which do you prefer for skilling up healing?

And, now, Rotters are part of the event champ spawn in central Ilshenar.

Snakes have lower Base Damage than Slimes, but take more Taming to control. Either work though. With my main tamers, i trained up five Slimes on Atlantic, and five Snakes on Napa. I then transferred them to EJ Tamers with 50 Taming (80 with Jewelry)/GM Lore/80 Vet. These EJ Tamers hold the pets that i use to train other pets with, such as five Snakes/Slimes for Healing, and five 0 Base Damage Birds for Parry.

Thank you. I love your idea, and tamed some slimes on all my tamers. I'm waiting for them to bond now. I'm really anxious to see how it works; I have a backlog of pets with awful healing skill

I get this is a old post that I am reviving, however... How does this work? Without having your pet kill the slimes/snakes? Does the pet heal when not actively attacking? I am curious how to go about doing this as I too, need a better way to train healing. Also if the pet has Chiv, doesn't it use that to cure, it seems that my pets with Chiv do not really use the healing skill once Chiv is high enough.

If a pet is set to Follow (and not Guard), it will not fight back. It won't use any Chiv abilities while following (such as Cleanse by Fire), but will attempt to heal/cure itself with the Healing skill. I tell my Healing pet to follow me, sick the Poison pets on it, and tell the Healing pet to follow me again just to make sure. Trained numerous pets to 120.0 Healing doing this.
