These things can go thru dbl walls in fel, they don't count as a flag to the caster if they hit you, they don't get guard wacked, and they do to much dmg.

They are way bugged, so are gargoyles they gain stats about 1 gain per hour.

I have had time to bond a dragon gm magery necro and bushido and my garg still only has 45 str and 60 int like 17 dex :/

This stuff needs to be addressed.

What are dbl walls? Try a dispell weapon. The flagging sounds like a real issue. I personally don;t think they do too much damage for a walking 5 slot pet.

For instance when bees could go in houses you could stop them by putting up two sets of walls and the bees couldnt get in. These can go thru 10 sets of walls attack you and nto end up flagging the caster. They do way to much DMG. & you can't guard wack em.

Ontop of that why don't they flag the caster when they attack someone.

You get jumped in a house my these things say oo ima go kill the caster but then you find out your now the one flagged.

Their damage is perfectly fine considering you're probably fighting someone who has 120 imbuing/myst/eval int.

If you don't have 120 imbuing, they're pretty worthless.

Not sure about the walls... why are you hiding in a house anyway? :twak::thumbdown:

in test, I found Mass Dispel was how I could drop one of my own casting - Dispel didn't seem to want to work. Never thought to try them on double-walled structures.

Are you saying they walk through houses? Or can be casted through walls?

Gargoyles, as all races, gain stats fastest when you use any skill over 100, and if your skills are at current cap, have them point up and your stat gains should occur faster. My Garg's STR skyrocketed when I put over 100 swords, anat, and tact on him and began raising throwing, but dex has been pretty slow (only about 35 I think), so not saying you're wrong either.

I had no problem gaining stats on my gargoyle. Are the relevant skills you are using pointed up?

I think the damage they do is just fine. As someone posted earlier it all depends on the casters imbuing skill and eval. I have seen the OP post tons of times to get things nerfed because he/she thinks things are too strong. I never thought I would use this term ever but I think someone in this thread *cough* *cough* the OP, should stop being a carebear and adventure out of their house once in a while. If they did that then they would not have to worry about things coming in to kill them. :)

Well.... I don't think they should be nerfed out of usefulness like everything else .... but.... they should NOT be able to enter peoples houses like that.

Some people think you shouldn't be able to enter houses during pvp anyway. Seeing as this is more than likely a pvp thing, the OP shouldn't be hiding in some house anyway.

Also, its not the only summon that can enter houses. Nature's Fury could also. Not sure if that was fixed or not.

Oh, and the fact that the OP is crying about a 5 slot dispellabe summon that needs 360 points to really be a threat and moves like honey dripping from Whiney the Pooh's jar just screams troll thread.

Greater dragons and nature's fury used to be able to go through houses, and EA changed this because you are NOT supposed to be able to cast through houses lol it has nothing to do with "house hiding," and there are houses in Fel other than around Yew Gate for those who have never been in Fel other than to Gate Bait from the guard zone, so that part of it is not a PvP issue as much as it is a griefer/exploit issue.

Whether or not the Colossus' damage should be checked is definitely a PvP issue, as is the current no flag issue if I am reading that right. The Colossus needs some fixing, there's no doubt there. Sometimes they even attack the owner, haha. Then again, unless you're talking Gargoyles, I can't see anyone going on foot to use one for real PvP, except maybe at choke points. And if mass dispel works there then I don't see the issue.

Not sure how they go through double walls (do you mean they walk through them; shoot through them?).

I'm guess you're red... how do they attack compared to an Energy Vortex? It's my understanding they're an uncontrolled summons, so they'd behave the same.

As far as not being guard whacked... nothing gets guard whacked at all in Felucca. There are no guards.

They do too much damage compared to what? What kind of damage are they doing?

I had no problem raising the stats on my Gargoyle.

I've found that, for my purposes, the Rising Colossus is, generally, less effective than 2 EVs. There are a couple instances that the RC seems to be more effective, but they last a shorter amount of time than EVs. That may be because my Mysticism and Imbuing skill levels aren't too high.

100 Magery
100 Eval Int
100 Meditation
100 Focus
91 Mysticism
91 Spell Weaving
81 Imbuing

This only applies to PvM. I don't Pvp.

Hmm... I've never seen a Rising Colossus... anyone willing to post a pic?

Also... is this going to be the next Greater Dragon whine? "They are overpowered... someone nerf something... I can't do anything on my super-duper, extra stealthing, dexer/mage because it hits too hard..." Sometimes I just don't understand why PvP threads always end up wanting the Dev's to tamper with something... how hard core is it to spend your game time kicking tail but only wanting to do so if everyone is just like you.. ie- no tamers allowed?

IMHO... I think the power of something should be equivalent to what you have to do to get it... 120 imbue/mysticism/eval int should give you a high level combat option... no different than a 120 taming/lore should give you a powerful pet... if you've spent that long to hammer a skill that high... a kudos is in order.. not whining about how much damage it's doing to you. Adapt... I'm sure there are many who did so to beat a PvP tamer running the OLD Greater Dragons... in fact I saw many PvPers on here who laughed at the GD whines... because they did the work to learn how to combat it. No wonder Siege laughs at all the other shards...

As for the bugs in Fel I have no cooment. As for the stats, I created a new char yesterday and completed his stats (including +25) in about 4 hours of 120 parry training. Check your methods you may be rusty. :)

Imho I think it's short existence timer and massive 5 slot control is the trade off to the damage it makes.

Uncontrollable summons are a danger to your karma.

A treasure hunter who drops EVs for offense learns to both love and hate seeing a blue healer hanging around on a small island.

Fix colossus , fine but they also need to fix the house fighting issue. If your gonna hit someone from inside imo you should be booted from your house and deal with the flag timer.

Somehow, someone always finds a way to SQUEEEZE in a Greater Dragon defend them to death post. Its especially funny when it goes on and on and on.....

If I can hit you you can hit me if im AFK in a house with 4 sets of walls and get killed by something standing in the middle of a 18x18 with the walls like I said thats annoying and stupid.

Fix the SA summons, Fix the stat gains, and dont fix the flying with dragons I do want to exploit the hell outa that.

And no I have casted greater heal on myself for 5 hours straight and my int hasnt gone past 70 and my str hasnt changed at all.... I paged 4 times every time the GMS told me that its now 500% harder to gain stats keep trying.

Im the one that has killed you multiple times in the house. A summon with around 95 skills(low imbuing) was able to kill you 1v1 as you ran, used bandaids, and chugged. You deserved to die inside.

And I worked the stats on a garg in less then 10 minutes to 255, so stop crying that something is broke.

For the record, when Vyal died, the colossus was not summoned through walls, it was cast onto a waterfall(open entrance of the house) and targeted vyal, followed him around inside, and then killed him. Twice. :thumbup:

Vyal you are quite dumb. Keep making a fool out of yourself......... You are actually crying about a summon that your pvp character is too WEAK to take on your own. A SUMMON !!!!!!!!! ROFL. You never cease to amaze me. Maybe if you grew a brain, you wouldnt go afk at the gate. Explosion potions are just as if not more useful than these SA summons and they dont take up 5 pet control slots. Quit crying about a summon and leave your house and fight the mage on foot with your two pathetic pets...........:cursing:
