Hi all, returning to the game and have the following pets in the stables. Should i release them and tame new ones? Pretty sure there are better options out there now than my default Nightmare and WW! Posting there stats below, there was a button saying train pet, i clicked it but havent done anything yet incase i mess this up!

Havent really played since about 2011/12.

Any advice gratefully received - suspect they are all trash, and i should look for better pets? Im playing on Atlantic Shard under Faith (also looking for a guild to join).

White Wyrms and Nitemares are prepatch and not trash at all, Actually they are very good and very expensive now days. Just dont ruin them by trying the new pet advancments in the wong ways, since they are irreplaceable, and do not spawn with these stats anymore. Welcome back!

Also for my white wyrm, I read that its better to change it to Chiv/AI due to the high strength.

Pet Planner | uo-cah.com

This is my planned build, advice im after:

1. How would you set the resists for a balanced ish build? (I could get 76/70/89/60/70 or 76 /70/89/65/65?) Thinking that Phys & fire are more more important to keep high so i could go 80/75/89/60/60 or 75/75/89/61/65? Dam that high cold resist :D

2. Should i try to include a special ability?

3. I presume i cant edit the attributes as they are already over the cap, shame as id love to boost the dex :D

also last question, White wyrm came out as 77.4% intensity rating and the nightmare as 70%. Is this good/bad? Kind of wanting them to be higher now!!!

Im practicing taming with a Rune beetle that i will train up to practice first.

The general recommendation to users of the new pet training system and taming revamp is:
1-Do not start by training your PrePatch old pets, since you will likely ruin them. (The value of PP White warm 77% intensity is 1+ Platinum nowadays depending on stats, PP nitemare is also close to that if 70%) So you are looking forward at blowing off 1.5-2 plats of property, that is then worth nothing after ruining them.
2-Start training Cus and present-day spawning nitemares, they are disposables.
3-If really very hot about training Prepatch old pets, Xfer your tamer to Test centre TC1, and train them there.
Key word is if you train them wrong they are worthless to you and also they absolutely will not sell.
Do not experiment on production shards with them.
Hope this helps.

yes that was helpful and confirms what my current plan was!

Just deciding whether to keep them and train them myself eventually, or to sell them :D
