I haven't played in several years, and I'm a bit lost. I think my account is flagged through Age of Shadows... what expansion/etc would I need to buy to be 'current?'

Also, all of my gear appears a bit outdated. I got out right before the artifact craze in AoS... what should I do to get up to speed? I have a GM smith/Tailor, but is crafted gear still the way to go? Do I need to pay someone to imbue my stuff? Is it easier to just go to a particular dungeon and farm for gear?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice. I feel new all over again.

Just before SA was released, all accounts were updated thru ML. You can confirm that your account was upgraded by trying to create an elf char. The only expansion you would need to buy would be SA, and then there was the High Sea booster pack that you may or may not be interested in purchasing, and to be completly updated you can purchase the the two add-on for deco, brewing, and setting up New Magincia vendors. You can sometimes find SA and High Seas on sale on the EAstore website. I got lucky and got the HS for half off.

Buy the Stygian Abyss account upgrade.. That will bring you up to date.

High Seas is an add-on you can buy but don't have to... however I think it's pretty fun and would recommend getting it as well..

Armour is way different now I would spend some time studying the info here on Stratics.

Then grab your smith/tailor and start making yourself gear.. You'll need to train Imbuing so you can Imbue stuff too. Or you can find someone to make you some.

I just came back myself a few months ago.. I got almost everything I needed to know to catch up from here.

Welcome Back!

Welcome back kiddo!!

I see Kellgory got you all the info you need.

As for armor and skills beleave it or not your Tailor and Smith might need a bit mroe training unless you got them to 120 ... These skills help you in the making of a new set of armor to a 70 suit, for imbueing.

My suguestion is read up here on Stratics, the main page has all the different expantions and their content for you to look up and read. I'd highly recoment covering the skills and dungeon pages for critters and what you need to go there.

Make new friends... the best way to learn is play.

Thanks for the replies. My tradeskiller was has 100/100/100 smithing/tailoring/fishing. I think he has 100 Magery as well, randomly. I don't recall how to raise the cap to 120 for a skill though... I know there is a scroll, but I don't know how to go about getting it. =) I take it I'll need to take imbuing on that character as well? Does 8x8 still work?

It's on sale pretty often on the EA store/Origin.com.

But UOGameCodes.com, nope. Sale prices on EA/Origin.com are not reflected on UOGameCodes.com.

If you feel that way maybe you should quit and give all your stuff to FetchChessepeake. Clearly he will appreciate this game a lot more than you do.

Good one Viper! I totally agree!!! *grins*

Fetch, if you know what shard you are going to, I am sure there will be people there who will be glad to help you out! There is also a shard-wide chat now, which makes it a lot easier to find people and ask questions!

Welcome back! *smiles*

Yep, Chessepeake. I used to be involved in the RP community there with several different characters, but I didn't keep up with anybody over the years after I left. I'm hoping there is still a community around.
