Returning from 1999. WTH? Help?

Hey, coming back from 10+years away from the game. What the hell is Haven, and why the hell have they destroyed Ocllo? Good lord, loved Ocllo it was my first house.

Got into quite a generation gap conversation with someone talking about 70 resist and me wondering why the hell anyonne would only have 70 resist. There was definitely a wall until someone came up and explained we were talking about two different things.

Armor and weapons hurt my head. Literally.

Quite colorful, though I miss seeing gold, val, rose armor.

Can anybody help me out with some arrows or bolts? They are really expensive.

Send me a message or hit me up on ICQ 98110980--I'll help you out the best I can. I have a 120 imbuer, so I can hook you up with some armor if you need. And arrows or bolts. I also know a few spots you can place a small house if needed.

Trammel cities, felucca cities, tram and fel dungeon entrances etc.
Might have some arrows around you can have (ratmen archers drop a pretty good amount so if I don't already have some I'll go get some)

Honestly, weapons and armor STILL hurt my head both in brightness and figuring out wth is needed. Since the changes I mainly play mages, mage/necros, and mage/tamers besides some crafting. Weapons are a nightmare to figure out to me.

Someone took me to Ilshenaar Compassion, and killed some ratmen with me. That was definitely the spot. I need to get my healing up before I can do it myself. But i have around 500 arrows right now.

Hit spell - ( fireball, lightning, harm, magic arrow ) -

@ 40% You have a 40% chance on each swing of hitting opponent with one of these which does extra damage.

Hit leech - ( mana, stamina , life ) -

@ 40% same principle as above, the difference is that the leechers replenishes part of your health , mana or stamina.

Hit lower defense / attack -

@ 40% same principle , this one lowers the opponent's defense or attack

Hit chance increase / defense chance increase -

raises you chances of hitting / parry

Swing speed / damage increase -

I think this one is obvious

Luck - Increases your chance to get more valuable loot

Hit dispel - Dispels summons

Spell channelling -

allows you to cast spells while wielding a weapon or shield

Armor

Regeneration ( mana , stamina, Hit point ) -

Increases the speed at which your mana, health or stamina regenerates

Lower mana cost -

Cuts down on the amount of mana needed to cast spells or do special attacks

reflect phisical damage -

a % of the damage done to you by an opponent will be reflected at him.

Lower reagent cost -

@ 100% you dont need to carry regs to cast spells


Mage armor -

Allows you to meditade while wearing usually non medable armor

Thats off the top of my head, i probably forgot some but those are the basics. There are new ones too, none craftable ones ( blood drinker battle lust ect ) But when u get all the basics you will figure out the other ones.


I miss my fortified , supremely accurate silver ( enter wep name here ) of vanquising.

Thanks to Caldwen of DDP, for finding me in Ocllo/Haven and letting me join your guild and helping me out with a new set of armor, runebook, and money for insurance.

Thanks to Fable, who saw my post and doesnt play Atlantic but came and gave me a crapton of gold and explained that there arent house deeds anymore . But I got a house so woohoo!

Thanks Ironworks for doing that property run down. I've bookmarked it and im sure I'll wear it out over the next few weeks.

Also the Compassion (Ilshenear) has a ratman spawn area, which is a good training ground as well. The rat archers have 50+ arrows each. There are also brigands neaby which are good for training parry and other skills.
