I'm returning from a long hiatus from UO. Getting a few high end runic hammers from a friend. My questions are:

1. To craft good Sampire weapons ie. Ornate Axes, Diamond Maces, is it still advisable to craft using a high end runic (Val or Verite) hammer and using dull copper ingots?

2. For crafting mempos, hiro sode and leggings, is verite ingots still the way to go?

3. Is the BOD system still as hard as ever?

BODs are a bit easier

Reward point system hasen't changed since the end of 2003.... but

April 2005 saw the introduction of the ability to turn in one BOD, and the timer gets reset to where you can immediately request a replacement.
November 2007 saw the fixing of the coding error that made Smith large BODs too common.
February 2008 saw smith & tailor runics getting a major power boost (higher minimum intensities per property, and the cap removed to where all those runics can make 100% intensity properties)
2009 saw the devs sneak in a bit of code to where all nearly all LBODs that give rewards that aren't deco, and are exclusive to LBODs only, can get a random bonus to their point value, to where the reward is usually the same as on Tower of Roses' chart, but can be as many as 4 spots higher in value (example, it's possible to get a Valorite Hammer from a BOD whose base reward is a Gold or Agapite hammer, now, or a Barbed kit from a horned kit LBOD)

Regarding #2: Since you ask about Sampire in #1 this reply is related to armor. If you can wear elven armor then bloodwood, frostwood, and heartwood are the best choices to extend resists past the all 70's. If you can make combinations of those then it is much easier. You can even get in the 100's for fire resist if you wanted with bloodwood and into the 90's with arties and heartwood. It is easier to get 100 DI suit with heartwood.

Why do you want to craft those for mage armor on the sampire?
