Can anyone exactly clarify what the "resonance" property on these new shields are from the void manifestations quests? Many thanks in advance:D And while we are at it what quests do you guys prefer? Gargoyle or human?

thanks for the info. So according to the info the resonance thingy is actually not that good as everyone has protection anyway?
Ah, I recently updated the Resonance page (and the new Resonance shield page) to include some info on the different types, since I thought people might get confused by Kinetic.

Protection, in my humble opinion, is a terrible crutch in UO when used all the time, but it can be valuable during periods of intense disruption. It lowers your Magic Resist, making 120 Magic Resist worthless, it lowers your Faster Cast cap, which makes that worthless, and it reduces your Physical Resist, which is certainly something one can balance but also an annoyance.

But yes, for all purposes, a 10% chance to do anything is NOT PvP viable, that's for sure. As for PvM, the Kinetic, or physical, is going to usually be the best way to go, especially if you are doing a spawn and want to get a few more Withers in. An extra Wither every 10 interruption chances goes a long way. However, I still think the Defender of the Magus is more valuable, for either PvP or PvM. Reflect Physical is a buggy mod for PvP, and the Magus gives two more DCI plus 1 FCR, which allows more flexibility when you get to making your jewels (which is essential for using a mage wep and an alchy talisman).
