Guidelines:
1. Fame gain from BODs is CONSTANT - not diminishing returns as is the fame from creatures. So, if you are at 0 Fame, you get the same amount of Fame for turning in the BOD as you would if you had 15,000 fame.
2. Formula for Fame from a specific BOD:
A. Get the POINT VALUE of the BOD, from the EA Knowledge Base for Smith BODs or EA Knowledge Base for Tailor BODs; or look for similar calculators (such as the one on Stratics) that use these point value systems, to do the math for you.
Take the listed point value for the BOD, and DIVIDE BY 50 (dropping any fractions, which result from 10-count & 15-count BODs), to get your base number for the fame calculation.
B. Take the Base Number gained from A, and square it (i.e. multiply it by itself). This is the amount of fame the BOD gives.
Examples (all tested):
a. A Normal Iron 15-count small gives NO FAME (0 squared)
b. An Exceptional Iron 20-count small gives 25 fame; The Base number is 5 (250/50), which is squared to 25.
c. An Exceptional Gold 15-count small gives 144 fame (400 for being gold, +200 for being exceptional, equals 600; 600/50=12; 12^2=144)
d. An Exceptional Valorite 20-count small gives (550 for Valorite + 50 for 20-count +200 for exceptional = 800; 800/50=16) 16^2 or 256 Fame!
e. A Normal Iron 15-count Platemail large gives 64 fame.
f. An Exceptional 10-count Dull Copper Chainmail gives 196 fame.
g. Most Tailor smalls give 0, 1, 4, 9 or 16 fame. Even the best Tailor LBOD, due to the differences in the system, only gives 256 fame (20 EX Barbed 6-part LBOD).
