Transferring Pets
Once a pet has been tamed, you may transfer ownership of the pet to another player. Certain requirements must be met for the transfer to be successful: The pet must feel sufficient loyalty to both the old owner and the new owner to agree to the command.
The current pet owner must be able to perform beneficial acts on the new owner.
The new pet owner must have a high enough Animal Taming skill to control the pet.
"Young" players may not transfer pets to older players and vice versa.
Summoned creatures may not be transferred.
If these requirements are met, the pet transfer is successful and the pet responds to its new owner.
To attempt to transfer a pet to another player: Speak the words, "[pet name] Transfer."
Target the person to whom you wish to transfer ownership.
A trade window appears. The trade window contains a graphic of the pet with the pet's name in the current owner's portion of the trade window. The graphic will match the hue of the actual pet. The new owner may place gold or other items into his portion of the window.
Both participants must click the agreement gems to trade.
Note: You must be able to perform beneficial acts on a player in order to transfer a pet to that player. If, for example, you are in a guild, you may not transfer a pet to a member of the rival guild.
The pet continues to remember any previous owners for the rest of its life. Should the pet ever go wild, a previous owner always succeeds in re-taming the pet. However, the more previous owners a pet has, the more difficult it is for a non-owner to tame it.
