Reforging Resists

I'm trying to cap my missing resists with a reforged piece but how does it work exactly?
when picking fortified/defense for armor, it seems to randomly boost 2 resists and sometimes
it will boost a third but not as high intensity as the other two but will lower the first name's intensities.

I'm trying to get fire and energy to be in the 20s, so what would be the best way
going about it? Is the best way just to craft the base piece with even resists throughout and
just hope for the right resists to get bumped when reforging?

I've been trying to make some leggings with resists in certain places and yes it seems pretty random!

I don't know if its best to have the "fortified/defense" as the second option or the first one. Any one chime in with some info?

What you trying to make? I have bags of stuff reforged using "fortified/defense".

EDIT - This is how I have mine set:

Does anyone also know the differences between "Mystic/of Sorcery" and "Arcane/of Wizardry"

UOGuide says they both give them same properties, but in game when I hover my mouse over the option it doesn't show LRC for Mystic/of Sorcery.

Arcane/of Wizardy doesn't add casting focus from what I recall.

Does it add LRC?

In game this is the menu I get showing the different properties. Is casting focus a random mod do you know? Dam I'm all confused again now! LOL

Wait, I just checked.
The properties are indeed those for mystic and wizardry.
You use wizardry when you want LRC/Casting focus, and sorcery when you're looking for int/over capped LMC.
For MR, I suggest using of restoration property.

Do you know if its possible to get LRC with sorcery at all?

You may get it as a random mod from high end runics, which may happen when the points of the reforge exceed the properties it picked.
Say, if you are reforging a leather tunic with a barbed kit, pick powerful reforge, grand artifice, inspired artifice and pick of sorcery as the name, you may end up with LRC as a random mod.

But if you really want to have a real chance to get LRC, use of wizardry.
I only pick of sorcery when I am looking for overcap LMC and int on pieces that usually don't carry it.

I'm trying to make items with 20lrc, 8lmc, 2/3 mr then also using the defence package for the beefy resists. I have a few parts like it but just can't remember what package I used!
