(Question) Red Vs. Blue

So being new here I had a few questions regarding the inner workings of siege pretty much.

My main question is what are the advantages and disadvantages of being a red vs being a blue?
I don't plan to go willy nilly killing everyone, but I do enjoy some pvp from time to time. From what I have seen so far of the siege community it appears that most people are blues, so I feel it would be safe to think that I would have to go red at some point for a little fun pvp action correct?

Anyways if someone would take the time to explain a little both sides of the spectrum I would appreciate it.
I do not wish to be some big bad evil doing red that no one talks to, but I also don't want to be a goody two-shoe blue =) I like to play a bit of both realms if that makes sense.

in siege reds can do everything blues can except buying fron npc town vendors and they cant use the virtue menu other then that they can do everything

Reds can not buy from NPCs...

Blues can attack Reds in a guard zone.

Star belly sneeches are no better than those with out stars on their bellys.

I've had 2 characters on Siege for years. They just haven't gotten much play... but I can sneak around and kill you all if you'd like.

If you're interested in consensual PvP, then do factions, guild wars, flag yourself grey, or find someone else who wants to fight and won't murder count you.

If you want to attack whoever it is you think would be better off walking around in ghost form, then you may go red ...

If you want to fight people who only attack others when they think they can do so without penalty, then find someone who will count you until you turn red, and then feel free to kill anyone who attacks you because you're red. If you get tired of that, after 40 hours it will wear off.

Hiding, stealth, maybe some good magery or melee skills ftw.
