I'm not sure if its going to be a Facebook based game, as it says cross platform. If it is Facebook only I'll give it a miss.FACEBOOK?! Noooooooooo!
Maybe they can get those people to work on the UO website....Well, the sign-up page is pretty.
That's exactly what I was getting at.Maybe they can get those people to work on the UO website....
While i'm sure there will be more than just fighter and mage eventually, classes have existed in almost every real ultima game aside from ultima online.Play as Fighter or Mage.
Greaaat... so they ****** up the Ultima legacy and introduced classes. I guess they piss on the grave too by adding levels.
Maybe I missed it.. but who is Kate Flack? This makes sense given that the lead designer is no longer Garriott, but Kate Flack who’s been handling UO now for some time.
Same view..Lady British...
the best they could come up with?
fail
Read the MMORPG article.. Since they can't use Lord British (Garriott kept that), LADY British is his daughter.Same view.. For that I won't be trying it.
This gives a tiny bit more info on Kate Flack : Judging the Sudiva Fiction Writing Contest | Mythic Entertainment | Ultima Online .MMORPG.com just put up a little more info via an interview with Paul Barnett.

I agree it's a little cheesy.. but since they can't use "Lord British" legally I guess they had to come up with something.. I'm sure a lot of us might have come up with something better.Same view.. For that I won't be trying it.
Point being, if they don't think Lord British is worth paying for, why stick with the same name? The implication and connection are plain to see for anyone with any sense. I'm sure Richard Garriott has better things to do now, but I for one think it would be funny as hell if he sued the **** out of em...Read the MMORPG article.. I bet if they tried to buy the name back from Garriott he'd die laughing!Point being, if they don't think Lord British is worth paying for, why stick with the same name? Weren't there reports of Garriott being seen leaving EA offices some time back? Perhaps they rented the name?Point being, if they don't think Lord British is worth paying for, why stick with the same name? It's not a Facebook game. Cross platform means you can play the same account on a PC or on a mobile device like an iPad.I'm not sure if its going to be a Facebook based game, as it says cross platform. If it is Facebook only I'll give it a miss.
You have me sold.or on a mobile device like an iPad.

Intresting.. That's about all I can say. I'll wait until I see more. ...Oh, and Bill - Giving money back to the owner? That's HONESTY, not Justice.. Learn your virtues, man!
Its not on facebook......hmmm this seems intresting .. if its on fb then it wont be like uo .. but will still maybe be neat
They don't need to buy the rights back. They only need to pay to use it for this one purpose all legal like. Pay the man. Who don't like cash? Except for the baby in that Jimmy Fallon commercial.I bet if they tried to buy the name back from Garriott he'd die laughing!
That's the first thing I noticed, too. Hahaha.Exec1: But we don't have the rights to use the name Lord British..
Exec2: How about Lady British?
Exec1: Genius!

A "NO" preceded by a four letter word, most likely .I have a hunch that even a simple request to use it would get an emphatic "NO"..
