I don't think anything as game changing as shard shields should be a vet reward at all. They give too much of an advantage to people who, by virtue of having been around much longer, should already be ahead anyway. Vet rewards should be cosmetic only.

The fact that people WANT to pay hundreds of dollars to "catch up" their accounts should tell you the reward is overpowered. I don't like pay to win, which is what paying to catch up would be, but I don't like the gaping chasm that has formed between older vets and newer/returning players in regards to some of the vet rewards either.

That boat has already sailed; that horse has been beaten to death.

You've been overruled. Get over it. I've already laid out the math in previous threads that it's an awful lot of months before someone catches up to $40 per round-trip.
