Hello all

Having popped back on here yesterday relating to the Barton thread for the first time in like a year or so, I started reading the threads and seeing about the RBG name still being used here and there.

... As far as I'm aware, I'm still the guild leader and owner of the RBG (Royal Britannian Guard) guild title in Atlantic. I recall transferring the Britannian Coalition to Tazar, but I don't think I transferred the guild ownership. However of course my char has been inactive for years. I figure it would be useful for role-players instead of me virtually boycotting it's use.

Would anyone be interested in taking over the mantle of RBG if in theory I was to log in and transfer it in the near future? Just speculating. As much as I'd love to come back and run it all again, its 90% unlikely. Not even sure how to do it anymore, its been that long.

You are still the leader of RBG to my knowledge. A few in the guild stop in occasionally and I think one plays regularly, but is a loner type.

It is good to hear from you and I hope all is well.

If no one else wants it, I'd be happy to take the title for RPG purposes... But I am too far involved with ODE to really rebuild RBG. If someone wants to rebuild it - I will fully support them in the effort (with one exception... Lol).

Stuffa, ah hmmm not sure how to tell you... but RBG is still active but somehow I became guild leader (Ezekiel).... but if you want the guild back I will be happy to give the title of guild leader back to you. I have three characters in RBG.... Ezekiel, Wayside, and Boogie.... not sure how I became guild leader .. I guess since I am the only active member it came to me... (not sure). Let me know when you are on.... I will figure out how to give the guild leader title back to you.....

There are systems in place where an inactive guild leader is eventually replaced, or a leader can actually be voted out.

Ezekiel: If you decide to pass the torch to another member, then all you need to do is pull up that member in the guild listing and promote them. Typically the path is to promote from Ronin to Member to Emissary to Warlord to Guildmaster - so you might have to promote someone a few levels to get them all the way to guildleader. If I remember right, you will have to confirm the promotion to GM as it is effectively a demotion for you as well.

I looked at guild roster.... Jorval was on yesterday, Cephas and Kheldar was on in June of this year and other than my 3 characters that is all the members that has played in 2013.

I've been warlord since RBG started pretty much, I was surprised all my chars weren't deleted let alone retaining rank after all this time!
Zeke, you're doing a great job holding that torch. Stuffa and I should thank you for flying the RBG flag, we're hardly going to fly in and boot you off top spot so don't fret buddy. The Peen might not even get round to rejoining for the month once he's back from china after all...
If he does however, some shard invasion antics may be in order. And plenty of Barton Worship (nach).

Pleased to see you're still kicking around too Taz! Any other RBGers still around? In other guilds perhaps?

Thanks for the responses! Ezekial, don't worry about transferring it to me, I really don't think I'll be coming back in any meaningful way ever again I'm afraid. As long as Stuffa stays in RBG that's fine. I'll leave it up to you guys to decide with Ezekial who should run the new RBG. Maybe you guys could hold a sort of competition where interested parties can write a proposal - what they'd do, how they'd do it etc, then vote for the best candidate! Might be fun. Or you could just pick someone.

Would be great if someone could take over the helm and make RBG great again.

I will certainly try to pop back in for a month when I return for China, though! Watch this space.
