I couldn't think of another name for this thread. I"m considering setting up a vendor for ship related items, not just Orc ships, but also cannons, cannon balls, charges (even though most use the paintings), etc. I want to do this because it doesn't seem that anyone else is. It may because there isn't a demand for it right now. Anyway, my concerns are pricing. Personally I don't think these items should come cheap, as it does take time to create them, but I also don't want to price them so high that it's a waste of time. My feelings are, the price of an item that requires only ingots to produce, should be twice the cost of the material itself. I would be happy with that price. Iron ingots typically sell for around 12 gp each, more on some of the more ridiculously priced vendors, but 12 is fair to me. That would put a single heavy cannonball at 144 gold. Is anyone of the opinion that that would be too much for such a simple item ? Check vendor search and tell me how many vendors you find selling them. While you're at it do a search for Orc ships as well. I started selling these at 5 mil back in the past, and felt that was a good deal on them. I've since lowered them to 3 mil and they've stopped selling. Maybe everyone has one now, I don't know. But 3 mil is a fantastic price imo, especially since no one else seems to be doing the work to produce them (for resell, not for handing out to your friends). I know I can just make all this crap, stick it on a vendor and then advertise it and that will tell me if the pricing is good or bad, but I wanted to get a sampling of everyones thoughts on this first, here, before I do it. Once I start, I'll absolutely keep it restocked since I'm sitting on more of this stuff than I care to, and now this paragraph has become way too long. Thank you for reading it.
