Raising skills

Hey all,

I started a new character with the intent of going PvPing (Nox mage) with them. I have a 100% LRC suit, got my magery to 90 and no gains in almost a week. Is the 8x8 method to GM still valid? Or is there a new way to raise it?



For what its worth, current stats are:

90.5 Magery
26.5 Eval int
77.9 Med

So I need to pick it up a bit.

8x8 don't work. Just pop on a mage weapon lowering ur magery.. and start casting.

Nope as that's -0 skill. Try to get a Mage weapon with about -25 skill or so. This way when you hold it your Mage skill is lowered meaning you can cast the smaller spells to get gains.

I'm not exactly sure if it will stack or not in which case it could lower your magery even more with the -25 magery weapon azmodanb and DJAd mentioned... In Twisted Weald where there are Satyrs, lure one close to the portal going out - go into War Mode and attack him but stay ahead of him and once you have him close to the portal, leave. Come back, stay 1 tile away from the portal and attack him until he Discords you - then leave and come back quickly. He will not be aggro and you will still be discorded. Stay close to him and work on Magery.

i use a -29 sc weapon when working magery. 50-115 in a good day in gains.

cast spells that are self targeting or stuff you can cast on your self. or cast on an object that won't fight back like a boat tillerman
