Quiver's of Infinity disappearing after being altered.

I altered two quivers of infinity threw them on the ground in my house and switched characters within 30 seconds and they both disappeared.

I altered a quiver again and left it in my backpack and disappeared within 30 seconds.

Sorry if this is already being discussed but I haven't seen a post about it.

Anyone else experiencing this?

yes has already been discussed thousands of times, it always happen and there is no solution.
Alter the quiver of infinity = destroy it.

Just quiver's of infinity or anything that can be altered into a wing guard for example ranger cloaks?

Im just getting on to this bug now....

I heard, that prepatch heritage tokens either can be used to to make altered quivers or are they the culprit?

Yeah same here I have no idea... we've used heritage tokens and quivers of infinity that were extra lying around in the house. Both had the same effect not sure.. My biggest question though is the ranger cloak/shadow cloak because I am making a thrower and would like a ranger cloak on him but will rage slap the computer if it disappears

Basically If you did not have one before the one patch it can't be altered.
I remember posting about it when the bug first started and no one cared. It's like why even have TC1 if they don't fix the bugs found on it.

I've successfully altered 3 QoI but all 3 we're freshly redeemed from Heritage Tokens. Using this technique I have lost 0. It is a small sample size, but I think it is telling. If you want to alter a QoI, don't use an old Quiver -- redeem a token.

what patch? i have done 2 quivers. both of them survived..
i also have done a rangers cloak, survived as well as a couple tangles..

Im sorry for your loss but I think after the first one poofed I might have used a container.
I know its 202/20 hindsight on my part and im posting a type of post that I criticize.
A post that doesn't necessarily offer solution, just a reference.

Putting any item of value on the ground is Always asking for trouble.

I successfully altered several Quivers but I always put them in secure containers. Dropping things on the ground is never a good idea.

I blame trammel for people getting incautious with their items

I'm guessing you skipped over the part where I said I also altered one that I left in my backpack and the same thing happened???

He got lucky I altered 3 last night and 2 of them went poof. They have known about this bug for a long while but instead do art fixes.

^ This. I had the same problem a few days ago. Altered an old quiver put it in a secure container logged off and when I logged back on it was gone.
After reading this I claimed a new quiver from a heritage token and the alteration was successful. I'm not sure if it's guaranteed but if altering I'd go with a freshly claimed quiver.

I can Read and I can comprehend, I just don't always do both at the same time.

No problems... more frustrated with the situation then anything else. I will try Obsidian's idea though and use a freshly claimed quiver from a token if I deem it needed to go for another alteration.
