Questions from a returned palyer

Back to UO after a 5-year break. I have 2 questions:

1) As automap is not workiing anymore, what u guys are using?
2) I run UO in Chinese Window, all the item descriptions, such as weapon and armor properties, are in Chinese. Anyway to switch back to English?

1- Use the new Enhanced Client and there is a build in map much simular to the UOAM. (And once you get used to the new client its much better )

1) If you are using the classic client (aka the 2d client) UOAM doesn't show the SA areas, and if you update, it will break. However, just don't let it update the maps and you will be able to use it for all areas up prior to SA.

2) Edit the uo.cfg file and look for a line that starts with

UserLanguageCodeString=xxx​

Change it to

UserLanguageCodeString=ENU​
