Questions about Chicken Lizards

I searched some threads about this and havent been able to find the answers I'm looking for.

I was told that bonded chicken lizards would drop an egg a day. I have bonded ones and havent seen an egg yet.. am I doing something wrong?
If they do drop eggs, do the eggs have the possibility of becoming battle chickens??
What is a scale collar for? I heard it was for the chickens.. what is its purpose?

Bonded lizards will drop around three eggs a week, somewhat random here.

Once you get an egg, it has a slim chance of becoming a battle lizard.

The collar is to still the beast so you can tame it. The usefulness of this item is debateable...

ok so how do I get it to drop an egg? do I take the lizard out of the coop and it just lays an egg somewhere or does it magically appear in the incubator?

Feed it hay bought from a farmer. Keep the egg moist with a pitcher of water. You can store the water in the incubator with the eggs.

Do not leave a mature egg in the incubator or it will burn up. Takes about three days to mature.

Once it's bonded, each time you feed it there is a chance of an egg, which 'drops' on the floor wherever the chicken is standing at the time. As Kelmo said, you don't get one per feeding - although the official stuff on UOHerald suggests two per week maximum, I've also seen it can sometimes be three, if you are lucky.

If you water the eggs daily, so they never have worse than 'dry' status for a day, there is a roughly 10% chance it will turn out a battle egg. Miss a watering, they get parched, and watering twice can recover them a bit but the chance of it being a battle egg drops to 5%. Leave it too long, it goes black, bakes and is useless apart from deco

I was just stuck on how to get the eggs to drop and if they dropped.. now I know the answers to both of those! hehe Thank you both for the help

One useful tip - when you water your egg each day do NOT water it whilst it is still moist. Make sure the egg says dry and then water it.

I found this out the hard way and watered on the second day only to find on the third day it was as if I had not watered it.

I've a suspicion that's a result of the 'egg watering' system borrowing design features from gardening. Whereas plants are damaged by overwatering, there's no coding to 'damage' eggs - they just use up one 'charge' of water per day, and it seems they will only hit the checkpoint where they move to the next stage of development if they are both at the right growth stage, and use their last 'charge' of water..

I might try testing that by setting various eggs at different stages with excess water once people stop buying the egg starter kits we sell - my chickens are barely able to keep up with demand for those, let alone have a 'surplus' to test with!
