Today we are going to touch on shard specific event items, and those players who transfer from shard to shard to purchase these items. Do you have a opinion on them or have you not given it much thought?

What is your opinion on “Cross Shard Traders”? Should of the Devs made some of the rarer items shard specific and nontransferable off that shard? How do you feel about items made for Catskills events being purchased by players from other shards and taken off our shard?

I know I hate seeing parts of Catskills history going to other shards, but it is in the players rights who own the items to sell them if they want. I just wish they would sell them to respected members of the Catskills community that would use them or put them on display for everyone to see. To many times these rare items are purchased and then mass duped. I know that most likely we will not have shard specific items anymore with the dumping of the EM program and that bothers me too. I liked that each shard had its own special items it added a little flavor to each shard. Now we are all the same. So those items that were made for those EM events should be saved and kept on their home shard in my opinion.

I think the Devs should make certain things shard specific. I do cross shard trade christmas and etc... gifts but I think the Cats event things should be just for Cats and same for other shards.

There was a long "dry spell" where no events were taken place. Many long term players will know of this...but ya' remember the event that led us up to the telescope being placed in the middle of the hedge maze? Well, following that event there was a single book simply placed on a pillar in britannia castle detailing what had taken place. Not locked down. Anyone could just pick it up. I had actually been the first person to see it. I picked it up read it and placed it back on the pillar thinking that there would be more dropped. There wasn't. There was just that single book. Someone else claimed it. I have always wondered where that book went to.

I dont know where the book went to... but the telescope is buried under a roof now. lol

As for the question at hand, I kind of have mixxed feelings on this. Im all for keeping the history of cats alive and well, yet if the player in question wins something and decides to sell it off and it leaves the shard... well thats up to that player. Personally i would lock said item down and have it displayed. But alas, the only true way is to lock down by a dev in a remote location. Much like the book of truth. Player recognition for said event viewable by everyone!!

Thats also why we have the 2005 invasion statue in Brit. I think we are due another invasion statue no? We just happen to need something big and exciting for 2008 to give us.

Deep down tho.. I would like to see more of the shard specific items non trasnferable. At least that way we would know that theres something to look for while we are out and about.
