Question: Item Decay

Hello!

I never know anymore which information is outdated or current, so can somebody please tell me - how long does it take for an item to decay? Just a regular item, placed on the ground. I've heard estimates of anywhere from 90 minutes to three hours. Does anyone know for sure?

I think there's also a thead that got started a while back that mentioned items that don't seem to decay. Spellbooks apparently used to not decay, but I found some publish notes from a while back (2008 or so, maybe when you started to be able to make them with mods?) that said they would decay if left on the ground and another set of publish notes that said repair deeds left on the ground wouldn't decay quite as quickly as they had previously.

Thank you, Tina! I'm actually dropping items on the ground for a player event and want to know how long I've got before they disappear.

I think I'll just assume the Stratics information is current, and hope for the best.
