Question about training vollums...

So...... I am training my vollum on a shadow ele right now. How high can I gets its skills from the ele? How long should I train it on the ele? Is it any good by itself or should I get it a friend?

Also, taking suggestions for names. I am not sure what to name it. I think it looks like one of Hagrid's creatures from Harry Potter!

The ele and the vollum will train up together. You should be able to get all melee skills up to GM.

That's assuming they're within 25 points of each other to start.

Thanks, wulfie! I got all skills up to GM except resist and magery.

Now, I am looking for an answer to my second question- is one vollum good to some basic monster bashing (while being assisted by peace/provoke) or should I get him a friend?

Basic, yes, 1 is fine.

2 of them would be... say, 4 times as good. (Assuming vollums and women have the same exponential awesomeness ratio)

Thing's will die twice as fast, so they do half the damage to your vollum.

Patty, to train Magery, just place it in a house with Spawn outside and it will cast on itself and reach gm magery!

For resist just cast Weaken on the pet while it melees the Ele.

I would say to use two!

Also, if you have two, just have them attack each other to train.

I hear it's illegal to have them blocked off in a location where they can only cast on, but not melee each other. So don't do that, no matter how good it is for training.
